I had a very disappointing experience with a recent order that I had placed in-store at the Newmarket branch. The specific size that I was after had to be sent up from WLG, it was originally supposed to be sent directly to me but was mishandled by the team in Wellington and was instead sent to the Newmarket branch. This was all unknown to me until I had to make a direct call to the Wellington branch as I hadn’t received a dispatch email yet, to which they informed me of the mishandling of my package and that my item was instead delivered to the Newmarket store.
I received no follow-up from the Newmarket store and when I went to go visit them to ask about my order, the person that served me was quite unpleasant and almost seemed annoyed that I was in store asking about my order that had been mishandled. I received my tracking email this morning informing me that my package will arrive next week Tuesday, which is incredibly disappointing considering I was very excited to wear this set for my event this weekend. I understand that mistakes can occur however I would’ve really appreciated clear communication, updates and better customer care. On Friday, we visited the Auckland New Market location. We were sceptical about the experience.
However, after 20 seconds we were greeted and taken under the wing of the amazing and bubbly Abbey. Both of us having a lot of insecurities, she immediately made us feel at ease, checked on us regularly in the fitting rooms, and helped us pick and style/outfit multiple garments and styles that flattered us.
Abbey made us feel beautiful and comfortable.
One of us having been in retail management for a number of years, strongly believes she ticks all the boxes of being a valuable employee and an absolute asset to the company.
We visited a number of malls and countless stores over our three day stay in Auckland, and were not provided a fraction of the amazing service that we were given by Abbey.

My friend and I came in to look around and I said hi to her.....no answer, she just stared at me. She just about vacuumed over my feet and was obviously in a rush to leave the shop but the attitude was appalling. I asked her if she had any of the Labyrinth range as I'd seen them online and she just pointed to a wall and said they should be over there. When I couldn't find them and asked if she could help me, she blatantly ignored me. When I went to leave, I reluctantly asked where a Hoodie displayed behind her is so I can try it and she said...I don't know, they're not unpacked yet.
