EK Property — Local services in Waitematā

HORRIBLE, DISGUSTING experience! I rented a room through EK Property overseas and everything seemed to be handled quickly and efficiently. However, when I arrived and saw my room and the shared facilities I almost cried. I felt grimy just being the flat - I feel grimy just writing this review. The entire apartment had a weird smell. The kitchen was disgusting! Every surface was sticky. However, when someone from the agency came and showed me around she took a video of everything and I heard her describe it all as clean. The bathrooms were horrible as well. A friend was also renting a room with them in another flat and their bathroom was even worse than mine - Filled with mould.

My friend and I ended up moving after they found another tenant to take over as we couldn't move out sooner. Luckily that happened pretty quickly and we could move out...

After backpacking around New Zealand for two months I decided to stay and look for a room. I had contacted several other property management companies but they all were hesitant to rent to a student on a gap year and most wanted too much or didn't seem genuine. That's when I discovered EK Property and their team. They were EXTREMELY professional and genuinly cared about me finding the best living situation that was possible for me. I have dealt with several property managment companies in multiple countries and I truely cannot say I have had a better experience than I did with EK Property. These are people who you can trust and really care about their clients. To say they went the extra mile for me would be an understatement.

Worst experience in house hunting so far. If you don't want to be scammed then avoid it. ( Response to EK PROPERTY: you sure you don't have my data? My partner and I had a awful experience with EK property, you sure you gonna lie about this? 1.After we gave our current landlord a notice and confirmed with Sarah via txt. She told our room has been rented to someone oversea already! 2.always took her ages to reply our txt, either txt back in the next day or hours later and she told me it's because she's always busy, well who doesn't and that's what she get paid for? 3. As a agent she couldn't even send me a correct address . There's miles away between Victoria Street and Victoria Street West. And when we finally rushed there, I got no apologies she looked like we wasted her time. I mean wow how...
