Went here for my immigration xray/bloodwork and everything went easy and quick. I honestly don't understand some of the bad reviews to be quite frank. Every staff member I encountered was super helpful, nice and kind and the process was super organized and swift considering how many steps there are.
Bring your passport (you will give this at every stage to the designated nurse, doctor, specialist etc.) Pay your fee (they will take your passport and 'queue' it for the next step; paper work) Get picture taken when called/told which will get attached to your paperwork Get called to fill in paperwork + give your details (you get your passport back here) Nurse calls you; you give your passport while you give blood, urine, check weight, height and eye sight. (get your passport back) Doctor calls you; you give your passport and he does a general medic check (some questions, breathing, checking lungs, heart beat etc.) you get your passport back. walk across the complex and once again give your passport when called for your xray; you get changed and the doctor takes you into the xray room. It took me less than 30 seconds in that room and then we were all done.
All in all it took me just over an hour for the whole process. I got there just before 9 and there was already a small queue (it's a popular place). The staff were kind (I wholeheartedly believe in if you treat them kind they treat you kind back) I made a joke and the receptionists laughed and were smiling. The nurses played with one of the babies when he dropped his toy and very considerate of parents with babies coming as well as in general (one of the nurses that took my height and weight literally whispered the results to the next nurse taking it down so the other patients didn't hear, small things like these that I find very respectful).
My doctor was korean and again so kind, I traveled to korea and learned some korean and we had a good little chat. He made me feel welcome and not once uncomfortable or negative in anyway.
And my xray doctor again was kind and helpful and even joked back when I was suprised at how 'easy' it was and he joked around on how it wasn't easy for him in a funny way
I went in on a thursday; got my results on a sunday and confirmation by emedical two days after that everything was submitted.
Wholeheartedly recommend using them for the immigration...
Read moreNot even worth for 1 star! Coming to this place as I have cold and little bit of sore throat. Walk in to the receptionist and she ask my ID and why I need to see the doctor! Very quick proses for payment $80 and afterward she said I need the COVID test before I see the doctor. Straight after payment she pointed the door I have to go and filled out the form. I went to the X-Ray door then the receptionist ask me to sit outside ( no form to fill in)and she give me a chair in the corner near by the stairs next to the street. I wait around 10-15 minutes someone call me to do the COVID test. Soon after I done the COVID test she said doctor will call me soon. Around 10 minutes doctor call me through the phone which is unexpected that he was examined me by phone ( which is different” from the first receptionist said to me ) that doctor will see me after my COVID test”. Doctor asking me do I need antibiotics? Well I said to him “how do I know!?” I told I have cold and bit of sore throat and head feel heavy yesterday but today I feel bit better but still have cold . I told him if he can see me then he can decide what medicine best for me or do I need an antibiotic! But he said he can’t see me because the symptoms I had. He ask me if have done COVID test in the past with negative results? Then I told him I just get the COVID test 10 minutes ago by the nurse.( This is unbelievable how do they have the communication) and I also told him that I been not go work since yesterday and I need medical certificates.
Finally He said , “I will give you the proscription for you and I’ll meet you outside of the clinic” After waiting another 15 minutes since the phone call With the doctor, I haven’t seen anyone try to give me the prescriptions and talk to me what I have to do next( as I’m waiting in the corner outside the clinic near by the street) I decide back to X-Ray clinic to ask how long do need to wait for my proscription or do the doctor will see me for some treatments? Then the receptionist make a phone call and not long afterwards someone come to me and give me the 2 pcs of paper and said if the doctor have another Client. I left the clinic with no clear information and horrible service.
Waste money for $80 for COVID test and the worst thing is waste my time! For this...
Read moreI’m registered with Auckland City Doctors as my GP. I have an extremely sore throat, and I called Healthline who recommended I get a Covid test. I figured it’d be best to do this at my GP thinking they could also examine and treat me. Heathline said to call my GP first, so I did, saying I had a sore throat and wanted to see a doctor and get a COVID test. They said to come right over.
I came over and filled out a form. I pointed out that I wanted to see a doctor in addition to getting the test. They said I couldn’t see the doctor but that he would call me. I said OK.
About 45 minutes after I arrived, a nurse called my name and did my COVID swab. Because they hadn’t asked me to pay the standard $19, I was feeling skeptical about the doctor calling, so I asked her about it. She said he wouldn’t - I would need to wait for a negative result first. This was irritating to hear, because the only reason I picked the GP instead of a drive-through testing site was to get medical treatment, and my previous two conversations led me to expect I’d get treated.
About 15 minutes after I got tested, as I was on the way home, the doctor called me. He said he wanted to ask me a few questions so he could authorise my test, and he sounded surprised that I had already been tested - he said they’re not supposed to test without authorisation. After he finished his questions, I said my throat really hurt, and I wanted to see a doctor. He said that, because I had done the test but not yet received the results, he wasn’t allowed to see me inside, though he would be able to give me a prescription outside.
I suppose in the end I got offered what I wanted, but by then I had lost faith - by the time I returned to the doctor, would their story change again? Would I be treated appropriately for my symptoms or thoughtlessly given antibiotics?
I feel like I did something wrong. Should I have simply shown up and said I wanted to see a doctor, and not said what the symptoms were before I entered the exam room? Or should I just expect to wait 1-3 days for a doctor’s exam if I have a...
