I am a regular customer here. I don’t expect any special or VIP treatment, but I do believe customers deserve at least respect and gratitude.
My first unpleasant encounter with one of your staff members was on October 11th around 10 a.m. She was quite rude when she couldn’t find the bread I was pointing to in the glass cabinet and ended up tossing one of the breads in frustration. I decided to brush it off, thinking she might just be having a bad day.
However, on October 19th around 10:30 a.m., I returned to order a cappuccino, and the same staff member served me again. She selected “medium” without asking for my preference, and when I politely corrected her that I wanted a “large,” she looked visibly disappointed—no smile, no apology. Her body language said it all.
When I got back to my shift I asked our white male guest as I recommended him to buy a coffee there if how was the experience. He told me the lady staff was so nice to him. Then I realized it might not be her having a bad day maybe she was being subjective on treating asian versus white people.
Please, Maggie owners, kindly train your staff to remain polite and professional while working. I even said “thank you” several times, but she appeared completely disinterested and unhappy. Staff need to understand that they are not just selling products—they are also providing a service.

However, I felt that your reply came across as defensive and dismissive of my experience rather than understanding it. • You mentioned that the CCTV showed your staff “sincerely apologised,” but I did not receive any apology during my visit. If she did apologise, that raises the question — why would she say sorry if she didn’t realise she was being rude? Yet in reality, I didn’t receive any apology at all. • Your response focused more on defending your staff’s actions rather than acknowledging how I felt as a customer. • While you described the staff member as “one of the kindest,” I experienced otherwise, and I’m confident the CCTV footage would reflect that. • Referring to the incident as a “small misunderstanding” minimizes my concern and invalidates my feelings. • The overall tone of your reply also implies that I was being untruthful, which was very disappointing. -I felt completely disappointed and sad about your reply as I am a regular customer who loves your pastries and coffees and who always recommend your coffee shop first than any coffee shops around hobson street to our hotel guests.

Read moreI had arranged for a pickup on my birthday and had a custom cake made specifically for the occasion. I requested the number "22" to be written on the cake. However, when I received the cake, the writing was completely off-center, pushed all the way to the left side.
I immediately asked the staff if there was a way to adjust it—perhaps using tweezers to gently move the chocolate, or if they had any spare chocolate pieces I could use to fix it myself. I was polite and just wanted to make a simple correction. However, the staff member, possibly due to a language barrier, when i asked, told me to wait and left me stand there for about 10 minutes, only to tell me in the end that it couldn’t be done and to contact the store via Instagram instead.
Feeling extremely frustrated and dismissed, I left the store and reached out through Instagram. The reply I received was, word for word: “Why must it be ‘22’ in the middle?”
This is by far the worst service experience I’ve had. I’ve been ordering my birthday cake and cakes for my friends from this place every year, but it seems like the quality of both the product and service has been declining year after year. Truly disappointing.
