Read moreWent to Anker Brygge expecting a fine dining experience on a nice day in north Norway with my wife, family and friends. There were 6 in our party and we all ordered within less than 2 min of one another at the front door, got a beer and sat down outside. 15 minutes later everyone received their meal except my wife and I. 30 minutes pass and everyone at the table has eaten their dinner, and my wife and I still hadn't gotten ours (!!!?!) When I flagged the server down and asked where our food was and all she said was 'i dunno' and walked away. When I asked for the manager, the manager said I had ordered a half hour later than the others at the table and it was our fault, even though this wasn't true. He refused to take any accountability for forgetting our order. 10 minutes later our food finally came and I asked if I could at least have another Corona beer free of charge for having to wait so long while watching everyone else eat, and instead he gave me the dirt cheapest beer in the restaurant on the house instead of what I asked for. I'd also like to add that when the others in our party ordered their items off the menu in Norwegian the staff said they had no idea what they were saying. I guess they didn't speak the language at all, which was weird, considering it's a Norwegian restaurant that serves Norwegian food in Norway. But whatever. Overall, the service was bad, the food was mediocre and the restaurant offers a very inauthentic Norwegian experience, considering most people here are actually honest and nice. In short...
