Lofoten Insight — Local services in Vågan

My husband and I took three tours with Lofoten Insight and they were all fantastic. Although the Road to Reine trip is a lot of time traveling in a van, these aren’t places we would have been able to get to without a car and all of the sights were worth the visit. Moris was a very well informed tour guide and we enjoyed the scenery.

He mentioned to us that there was a nighttime Northern Lights tour so we immediately booked it for that evening. We were so fortunate that there happened to be spaces available for us. Wow what a magical experience we had. The northern lights are just incredible. Dave our tour guide is a renowned expert on auroras and has even written a best selling book about them. He follows the weather, clouds and winds to decide where to take his groups each evening. We ended up on a remote beach 40 minutes outside of Svolvær and he planned it perfectly! What we saw was just amazing! While there is no guarantee that anyone will see the lights as nature does what nature does; I can promise you this: If there are auroras to be seen Dave will know where they are! He also took plenty of photos of all the guests with his professional photography equipment which we were then able to download from the website. Ich habe eine Woche lang an den Nordlicht-Touren von Lofoten Insight teilgenommen, und es war eine unvergessliche Erfahrung! Von Anfang an hat sich das Team unglaublich gut um uns gekümmert. Jeder Abend war hervorragend organisiert, und sie haben wirklich alles getan, um sicherzustellen, dass wir die besten Chancen hatten, die Nordlichter zu sehen.

Besonders beeindruckt hat mich ihr Engagement und ihre Leidenschaft. Sie haben nicht nur die besten Spots für uns gefunden, sondern uns auch viel über die Nordlichter und die Natur der Region erklärt. Man merkt sofort, dass sie Experten auf ihrem Gebiet sind. Zudem waren sie immer freundlich, hilfsbereit und haben für eine entspannte und persönliche Atmosphäre gesorgt.

Die Ausrüstung und das Fahrzeug waren top, und selbst an den kalten Abenden wurde dafür gesorgt, dass wir uns wohlfühlen. Es war eine intensive Woche voller Abenteuer und wunderschöner Momente.

Ich kann Lofoten Insight jedem wärmstens empfehlen, der eine einzigartige Nordlicht-Erfahrung sucht. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team für diese tolle Zeit!

Fantastic Northern Lights Tours with Lofoten Insight!

I spent a week participating in Northern Lights tours with Lofoten Insight, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the very beginning, the team took incredible care of us. Every evening was perfectly organized, and they truly did everything possible to ensure we had the best chances to see the Northern Lights.

I was particularly impressed by their dedication and passion. Not only did they find the best spots for us, but they also shared a lot of information about the Northern Lights and the region’s nature. You can immediately tell they are experts in their field. They were always friendly, helpful, and created a relaxed, personal atmosphere.

The equipment and vehicle were top-notch, and even on the coldest nights, they made sure we were comfortable. It was an intense week full of adventure and beautiful moments.

I’ve been on 4 different northern lights hunting tours over the course of the past two weeks and Dave is definitely THE BEST guide. He replied very quickly when we sought clarification via email, and chasing the northern lights with him was exciting - He knew the best spots in Lofoten Islands which we hopped over to throughout the 3-hr+ drive, very knowledgeable on the science behind the lights, and takes great photos for us!
