The customer service is very poor. First they bring out the glasses with ice for the pitcher of lemonade we ordered and about fifteen minutes later we have to ask the waiter if they are ever going to deliver the lemonade. Next problem is that they aren't smart enough to realize that all food should be delivered at once. Two orders showed up out of three orders. We waited for about ten minutes until I finally flagged down a waiter and asked where the hell was my order. Now one would think that a waiter would be trained to watch to see if all of the food orders were delivered but that would mean putting down the cellphone where they were playing on Facebook I guess. My order was finally delivered a full fifteen after the first food orders showed up.
Very poor management, poor wait staff training, an attitude of not caring about the customer as is typical in the Philippines. Just common sense ought to demand that the food orders be delivered at one time instead of being 15 minutes apart. Other diners will try to wait on your food so their food gets cold...
Ā Ā Ā Read more2 out of 5 stars because the service was ok & the food was made quickly. Now.....
The food wasn't that good. I had the steak burrito and she had the chicken tacos. Both had skimmed on the meat portions. The burrito had waay too much rice and a sliver of lettuce. Shouldn't even have rice at all! What really killed me was it didn't have any refried beans in it or guacamole! 𤦠The dish came with some chips and salsa too. The chips were stale the salsa was ok.
The chicken tacos also had small portions of meat in it. Mostly onion, lettuce, tomatoes and this weird cheese wannabe thing. Normally for soft tacos it's a flour tortilla, but they used corn tortillas which tasted bland (kind of like cardboard). Also at 210php, it's overpriced. The sauce for it was fair tasting though.
Final note: Nowhere near "Authentic Mexican" cuisine...not even "Tex-Mex" style. We didn't finish our meals. Probably won't be going back there again, but who knows. Burritos and tacos shouldn't be that difficult. 70% rice in a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is far from authentic Mexican food. After living in California for 52 years and eating the very best Mexican food on earth...Champas has left me yearning for better Mexican food here in the Philippines but it just isnāt gonna happen. They (as with most Mexican food restaurants in the PI) hardly ever have guacamole available because avocados are seasonal. Also they donāt know how to make Nachos. Nachos should be made with fresh chips, shredded beef or carnitas and shredded cheddar cheese broiled until the cheese is bubbly and the chips are golden brown on the edges and also serves with sour cream and salsa. But, here in PI they use cheese sauce definitely a bad idea. One last note the āBaja Style Fish Tacosā in Baja, CA are always served with flour tortillas. I asked the server for flour she looked at me like I was from Mars. I suggest anyone wanting to make it in the Mexican Restaurant business try visiting Mexico or San Diego, CA and do a little research on how the real...
