I've been staying mostly in this hotel whenever I visit Boracay. I stayed here more than 6 times. The location of the hotel is great; they are very close to lots of restaurants, shops, and bars. I liked their services in the past; they gave us a free room upgrade last August 2024. They allowed us to check in a little early and not wait until 2 PM in the past. However, last December 12-16, 2024, for some unknown reasons, they made all the incoming guests wait until 2 PM to be accommodated. They said there were no available rooms but I didn't notice any guests checking out while we were waiting at the lobby. I guess they don't want us to consume electricity before the check-in time. LOL! So disappointing that this is how you treat returning guests. Also, there were too many mosquitoes inside the room. During our last stay, room 124 was assigned to us but we had to request to be transferred to another room because dust kept falling from the ceiling to the bed (seems like dust due to termites). Thankfully, they reassigned us to room 322. Unfortunately, we dealt with the same problem with the mosquitoes. I like The Tides Hotel mainly because of the location, the rooms are decent and affordable, but I am no longer confident recommending this hotel because of the DECLINING QUALITY OF SERVICE. I hope The Tides Hotel takes this review seriously. You are putting people's health at risk. In most of my stays in your hotel, may it be a standard or deluxe room on the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd floor, MOSQUITOES ARE EVERYWHERE. Also, during our last stay, we had to request everything before you furnish the basics like a toothbrush, refilling of coffee, etc. That was not the kind of service I experienced in the past. It sucks that you do not value your...

The Tides Hotel Boracay (room 324)

+Location. In the middle of 'D Mall' with many stores, supermarket and restaurants around. 100m walk to the beach. +Friendly and helpful staff. +Swimming pool, bar, restaurant, toilet and shower on top floor (3rd floor). +1 bath towel per person can be changed once per day. +Air condition (little noisy), Refrigerator, TV, good wi-fi. +Check in time is 14:00 (not 12:00 as in the booking confirmation), but we could get bath towels and stay at the swimming pool before we got the room. +Live music at night on top floor. +Can wash the feets at the entrance from all sand from the beach. +Water machine in the hall for drinking, also boiling water.

-No elevators. -No breakfast buffet, order from a menu, not much to choose from, see my picture of the menu. -The shower head was loosed, and didn't stay in place on the holder.

+/- Toilet and bathroom is separated, also the basin is outside the toilet/bathroom. Didn't try their barbeque buffet, kinda smokey from the barbeque when sitting by the bar. When room is booked, there is no refund or cancellation available. Didn't check the gym, I think it cost as there was on a post (see my picture), maybe free for us who stays there. Transfer from airport cost 1800 php per person if booked from hotel, but we used MyBoracayGuide instead. Remember you must book a place to stay to be able to take the boat to the island.

I had high expectations for The Tides Boracay because of the nice and sunny lobby it has. It's quite average but it has some redeeming qualities.

The Good It's located in the center of D'Mall which is in the center of Station 2 in Boracay. It's not in the beach front but it will only require a few minutes to get to it. It's beside restaurants and souvenir shops where you can get your necessities. The customer service of the staff is also good. We requested for several stuff like very cold water, scissors, extra mats and they were all given promptly with no excuses.

The Tides is also good for groups and they have a nice roof deck place with pool where foam parties and pre-parties happen.

The Bad (or my definition of "bad") I really don't like the room. For some weird reason I find it very intrusive and not good for people who are not really close with each other. The beds are spacious and can sleep two people in one bed thus it's good for really close and tight groups. They can actually have parties in the room if they want since it's very spacious.

I recommend this for young people and young groups. Family and couples who wants privacy might opt for another place or hotel in Station 1. Room Tip: The first floors are good since they don't...

We got the King-sized bedroom which came with a bathtub. The room was great and we didn’t have any noise issues from adjacent rooms. We could hear the entertainer from the roof deck but that quieted down by around 2230. The rooftop restaurant and pool-side bar were great and the pool was very refreshing. It’s large enough to swim laps or just lounge around. All the staff were excellent, being both professional and personable. The location at Station 2 is centrally located and a good recommendation for first-time Boracay visitors that want to see what it’s all about. Internet service was both easy and fast. My photos uploaded quickly each evening. The only complaint was regarding the bathtub, which is a standalone up off the floor. It was difficult to safely step in and out of. Also, the ceiling shower head was nice but sprayed all over outside the tub getting the floor very wet. The shower curtain wasn’t large enough to wrap around the tub. Otherwise though, our stay was very enjoyable and we would return there if we ever stay again at Station 2.

1. 5-star hotel as per google (doesn’t feel like it, felt like a 3-star hotel) 2. Station 2 3. The cars/van/e-tricycle cannot enter the hotel vicinity since it is located at D’mall. The driver will only drop you off in the front of D’mall. 4 minutes walk to reach the hotel. 4. A lot of stores and restaurants to choose from 5. The staffs were okay 6. Not beachfront 7. No private balcony 8. No elevator (or at least I didn’t see one). We had to take the stairs to the room and to the pool 9. No toiletries aside from the Shampoo and Shower gel attached to the wall 10. Old air conditioner (weak and broken). They had to fix it while my family was sleeping in the room (as you can imagine, it was loud). They transferred us to a different room but it was still the same. No leak but the AC wasn’t strong enough. 11. Free breakfast 12. Rooftop swimming pool 13. The Room is basic 14. A bit expensive 15. Beach is clean but there were lots of tree roots scattered around it 16. Weak wifi reception 17. I don’t recommend this hotel (personal opinion)
