During my trip to Boracay, I kept hearing about Coco Mama in D’Mall, so I finally decided to try it—and I’m so glad I did. Tucked in a small corner near the main walkway, this humble stall doesn’t look fancy, but it delivers one of the best tropical desserts I’ve ever had.

I ordered their signature coconut ice cream served in a real coconut shell with sticky rice, mango chunks, and toasted coconut flakes. The first spoonful completely won me over. The ice cream was creamy yet light, perfectly balancing sweetness with the natural flavor of coconut. Heavenly and pretty cheap. Very refreshing and not too sweet either. Just pick your size from the menu. I went with small (two scoops), let them know if you want mango which is an additional cost and then choose your flavours. I went with mixed, so one scoop original coconut and one scoop coco pandan. So good! Probably one of the best desserts I had eaten in a long time, and nicely presented in a coconut shell. I am not one for sickly desserts. This was light, refreshing and divine.
