I came here for an early dinner the other day. It's really close to the center yet not super expensive, and I didn't have to wait at all. I was seated in a cute little area right next to an open window; there was a votive candle on the table which was a nice touch.
My pasta was fantastic, a sizeable portion that came out steaming hot and neatly plated.
The waiter was courteous and polite, though after dropping off silverware and food he didn't come over again until I waved him over to ask for the bill (if he had I might've asked for the tiramisu someone had at the table next to mine, it looked quite good!). I was impressed with the staff overall though. When I walked in, two separate waitresses smiled and greeted me even though they weren't seating me. I heard many of the staff speaking great English and treating foreign customers with the same courtesy they treated locals with.
I'd recommend this place if you're looking for something near the...
Read moreExcellent food (both pasta caprese and pasta carne), really nice atmosphere, but service was mostly unenthusiastic.
I thought maybe we caught the waitress on a bad day (and maybe we did) but then another couple had issues with one of her colleagues. I get the impression that they weren't very happy working there.
I think management needs to look into how they can create a work place where the waiters and waitresses like working, so that they have the energy to create a nice interaction with the guests.
Oh, and the portions are ok but not very big, so if you're very hungry maybe ask for some extra or have a starter too (I grabbed a nice Italian sandwich at Panuozzo & Coffee after dinner 🙂).
They also add a service fee at the end (11 zł) that they didn't mention before. Some restaurants do, many don't, I always find it off-putting when they do – just set the appropriate prices from the...
Read moreDelicious pizza and pasta. I visited with my husband on Saturday night without a reservation and we only had to wait for 10 minutes before we were seated. The restaurant is small, so there isn't a lot of space between tables (and nowhere to hang a jacket) but very cosy with a great atmosphere. They have a vegan cheese alternative for pizzas and pastas but no dairy free or vegan dessert option. As I don't eat dairy, our waitress was helpful in giving advice and even changing the components of one dish so that I could try it. I had the carne pasta without the creamy sauce (good quality olive oil instead) and my husband enjoyed the bacon and traditional smoked sheep cheese pizza. It was slightly annoying not to have somewhere to put my jacket/bag as we had to sit with these on our lap. I'd definitely recommend trying this restaurant. 132 PLN for 1 pizza, 1 pasta dish, 3 soft drinks and 2...
