Read moreI visit Snežana every time I'm in Belgrade. For me, as a tourist, the food is always good and not expensive for a capital; it's clean and tidy - sometimes busy, always a good sign and I would recommend a visit with people of all ages. I struggle with brusk manner of the waiters when you need something and they tend to hover when you don't - but it's probably the cultural differences - just like I never get any change when I pay the bill except when my Serbian partner is present - and I can never get over the no-smoking basement with no windows that is always empty - so we always sit upstairs and watch people smoke infront of children and pregnant women but I'm told they have a choice: sit in the dark basement or outside in minus centigrade temperatures in winter! We weren't really that bothered but no one bothered to tell us.
Simple awful service, everything feels like an inconvience and you are just a silly tourist they can rip off.
Everywhere else we have been was lovely. This...
