My mom and I had the absolute pleasure of meeting the father-and-son duo who run D'Ivorra 1928 at the Mercado Central in Alicante. We were on the hunt for some top-tier aged Manchego cheese—and wow, did we come to the right place.

The son (D’Ivorra Jr.!) was incredibly helpful, super accommodating, and clearly knows his stuff when it comes to fine cheeses and charcuterie. His warm hospitality and easy charm made the experience even better. You don’t just shop here—you get treated with genuine care and class.

We had an amazing experience! At first we wanted to buy some jamón to try it at home and as we were talking with the man, he offered to make us a little charcuterie plate so we could try some of the best traditional cuts along with a glass of wine. We ended up paying 16€ for 2 people, and it was totally worth it. The service made us feel that we were in a 3 star restaurant and the atmosphere was beautiful.
