I recently had the joy of performing my music at the Jazz Cultural Theater of Bilbao, founded by Joshua Edelman, an ex-pat jazz pianist from NY's Greenwich Village. This intimate jewel of a venue captured my heart from the moment I stepped on stage.
What struck me most was the audience - several of whom were students from the school's programs. Their attentiveness was something I could feel throughout my performance. There's something special about playing to listeners who are truly present with the music, and this lovely audience gave me that gift.
