Gamla Stans Fisk — Local services in Stockholm

I hesitate to review this because it is an absolute gem and I don't want obnoxious tourists to ruin it. Nearly all locals grabbing a quick bite to eat between midday shopping or buying fresh fish and accessories to bring home for a dinner party. The menu is simple with daily specials and only a couple dishes served everyday. We ate the southern French fish stew that had generous pieces of fresh fish and the fish and chips that came with a bright remoulade and sprigs of pea sprouts. You can tell from the flavors, the presentation, and the careful carrot mise en place that the chefs are highly trained and serious about their food without taking themselves too seriously. Always good. They normally have around 3 plates and all are fresh and tasty. They have a great spot in the sun. They also have the possibility to have something from the fish store(like oysters or skagenröra) to share...

ist es noch ein Geheimtipp? Oder eher nicht? Eigentlich ein Fischgeschäft. Aber mit wunderbarer Küche. Es gibt nur zwei Gerichte. Die sind aber liebevoll gekocht, angerichtet und super lecker.

Der Besitzer und die Mitarbeiter sind absolut liebenswert. Freundlicher geht es kaum noch.

Herzlichkeit wird hier absolut groß geschrieben. Ich freue mich, dass ich die erste Bewertung für dieses tolle Geschäft schreiben darf. Wir werden immer wiederkommen.
