SWAROVSKI Store Zürich Flagship — Local services in Zurich

Wow the staff is rude at this location. Traveling around Europe my mother and I enjoy going into each Swarovski store we pass by. On this trip alone this was the 5th one we’ve been too. So what happened at this one? First, my mother took a ring off of a display to get a better look. This is something we do quite frequently and have never had an issue with. We are pretty short and can’t see the higher displays. One of the workers fully yelled at us that we can’t do that and when asked how we were supposed to see the ring when it was so high she just responded with more yelling. Second, my father went to have a seat while my mother and I looked around. But because he wasn’t actually looking and was just waiting for us they asked him to leave. I want to point out this store was two levels and we were the only people in it also he wasn’t sitting on the floor he was on a bench which is supposed to be for sitting on. I really don’t understand what prompted them to be so unwelcoming the moment...

The open display concept is not practical because they require too much staff for security, and the staff need to be overly focused on loss prevention and making sure no one touches anything - thus creating an ackward experience for the customer. I was in the store with my mother in law who would have happily purchased a bengal but she was made so uncomfortable by the lady that helped us that she wanted to leave. We were also presented alot of random pieces that were nothing like the piece she was originally interested in. It felt like the lady who helped us had no real understanding of sales or talent for customer service.
