An older gentleman stopped me in the street near this place. He lamented about not having anything to eat and being very hungry. “I don’t want money, I want to eat…..even just rice and beans” he said. Feeling charitable, I said, “Ok, let’s go get you some rice and beans……where?” The poor, hungry man immediately walked around the corner and climbed the stairs to this place. He grabbed a menu and pointed at the Seafood Platter ($15!) and asked if that was ok to order! I said “I thought you wanted rice and beans…..now you want lobster?” I asked the guy behind the counter how much a plate of rice and beans were, and he said “7$”! For rice and beans??
