My wife and I did the Istanbul street food tour on our honeymoon with our exceptional guide, Erol Ütgün. Erol was incredibly informative, funny, personable, and had such a wonderful way of blending culture, history, and food! He was knowledgeable about all things Istanbul history, and did a great job blending the broader history of the European section under the Ottomans with the more recent cultural changes since the Republic. During the tour ebbed back and forth around Istiklal street into smaller and lesser known areas.
