Fancy That of London — Local services in Bath

I was not sure about visiting this shop because of the reviews but then realised that the reviews are very old so decided to get my own opinion as I was looking for a shop to recommend to my Nordic friends who are due to visit Bath at Christmas and sadly I won't be able to visit with them. Great lay out and lots of tourist items. I did at first think it odd to have a shop with a London name in a city called Bath but they do stock plenty of Bath related gifts. I can only assume that this place has changed hands (under new owners) as the young Asian lady who welcomed me was very pleasant and polite. I did not feel as though I was not allowed to browse as I had no intentions of purchasing items and some places can make you feel uncomfortable unless you are buying. Only given 4 stars as I noticed that some of the mugs and tea-towels can also be found at other stores in Bath, but they did have quite a few other items that I have not seen in Bath. Prices seem reasonable. The photos on Google do not reflect the inside of the shop and that is why I think it is under new ownership. It has more of a neat and classy look now than the overpacked look the photos show on Google. Great that this shop is also close to Mjölk shop. ...

Terrible and cruel! My son visited your shop today whilst on a day visit with the school. You mislead a child regarding your pricing, you gave a verbal price and proceeded to manually input the price overcharging a minor and provided short change as well. The item you sold was returned faulty the same day of purchase and you refused an exchange and you also refused a refund. My son was polite during the purchase and polite on returning the item, however you asked him to leave your shop. You are cruel, crooked and extremely deceitful as a business. A minor would be unaware of consumer rights and would not challenge your decision, But an adult will not tolerate your lack of professionalism and will not be ripped off. The staff members working on June 9, 2024 were very kind and helpful. First, we were glad that the shop was open when many of the others were closed for the day already. We were glad to find badges/patches of Bath in the shop. For many years our family has collected these badges from our travels all over the world. On this trip to the UK, this was the first shop we found selling patches! Even more important was the great restaurant recommendation that the staff members gave us! We were looking specifically for vegetable dishes, and as soon as they heard that, they referred us to the place where they had eaten lunch that very day. We had a great meal at Indian...
