BoConcept Tottenham Court Road — Local services in London

My experience at Bo Concept, Tottenham Court Road, was exceptionally good and am writing this review to highly recommend this shop, its Manager and also the staff working with him. So 5 *! Four years ago, we bought some furniture for our new home and were helped in making the right choices by a very young Danish Interior Designer: with great clarity and without ever being pushy, he drew a project and dedicated a lot of time, just to make sure we were happy with it. Also my partner was really impressed because we never happened to come across someone so highly skilled, extremely calm, polite and patient, in other furniture shops. Time went by and we then returned there for buying some accessories. Again, we were assisted by Emil who, in the meantime, had become General Manager, a promotion which didn't surprise us at all. Just few days ago, I was again in the shop, because we're now looking to buy a lamp for the living room and they do have some nice ones. Again, the experience was good, and I found a nice object giving out a shade of light, not a too bright one. We never had problems with the home deliveries and also Customer Service reflected the high standard of the General Management. For this reason, I just want to take this opportunity to thank, also on behalf of my partner, the Bo Concept's staff and their Managers for all what they did for us. GREAT SOFAS AND SUPER SERVICE FROM BHAVINI! We had been looking for some new leather sofas for quite a while and had found some at another unnamed retailer but were very disappointed with their response, general attitude and getting details incorrect so we decided on a day in London to have a look to see if there were better alternatives. We have bought several items from Bo Concept before and the service and quality of the products has been excellent, and the furniture still looks great now so we popped into Bo Concept first. We admired one of the sofas and were greeted with a very helpful and knowledgeable member of staff - Bhavini Asawla who answered all our questions, discussed options/ alternatives and cost. She was incredibly helpful and emailed the quote to us so we had it when we arrived home. She also sent 3D images of the sofas in our lounge so we were assured that they would fit and would look great in the room. She also responded to emails by return and answered all our questions effectively leaving us sure of our potential purchase so much so, that we agreed the price and have purchased two leather sofas today arriving in about 6 weeks time.

I am giving 2 stars as an overall purchase experience, so let me break it down:

In-store purchase: 4 stars - staff were helpful in helping us choose a sofa we'd like, and were quite communicative in what to expect upon purchase.

Everything in between purchase to delivery: 0 stars - pretty shockingly bad. Didn't get any communication from them regarding delivery until the email that said to expect delivery in a week. I then arranged for my existing sofa to be removed a day before we welcome our new sofa. The old sofa left in the morning, and then in the afternoon we got a call from Bo Concept saying "sorry, your sofa won't be delivered tomorrow - we're expecting 7 more days". They said they'd send over an apology hamper, but that didn't arrive. So we didn't have a sofa in our living room for a week and felt that Bo Concept weren't sincerely apologetic.

Delivery Day: 5 stars! The delivery team were wonderful - called us 30 minutes before arrival to let us know and spoke to us about their process so we could discuss on where to park, and drop off. They then brought it in and got it fully assembled...
