I was visiting this boots store in Victoria station and wanted to purchase a bottle of water, there seemed to be 2 queues , one at the manned till and one at the self checkout till, I stood after the 2 men in front of me who were waiting to be served , then a member of staff his name was Jahidur came and told me to go and join the queue at the self check out tills which at that point became long enough, he didnât tell the other customers in front of me, (they were together) and just after the two boys were served and my turn came he quickly asked the next customer to come from the very end instead of me, at which the gentleman looked at me and made a gesture that I can be served as I was already there, but this customer service person Jahidur , just called the other lady from the queue just to show his superiority and make me feel inferior. He was very rude when I tried to ask him why the other two guys in front of me were served but I was ignored even that I stood there and waited and and he was very rude and dismissive, I canât believe he is called a customer service person ? What kind of customer service is that? The tone of the conversation was very agresive at what point I just decided to leave as it was too overwhelming. I left without purchasing the water , although I am loyal customer to boots and have an advantage card, as I always purchase all bath and body and baby products form there. I worked in customer service before and if I was to act like that with a customer I wouldâve been called for an investigation. I hope nobody else can experience this treatment and he get to have more hot to talk politely with customers trainings...

I use this branch of boots regularly whenever I'm in the area, today (17/02/2025) at 12:30 I went to pick up some lunch and as I was using the self-scanning machines, I didn't notice that the sandwich I scanned didn't go through (I was rushing to catch a train) and I only paid for the snack and drinks. The IC3 male who was watching over the self-checkout machines, decided to abruptly come over and accuse me of stealing and ask me what I purchased. Without even speaking to me in a quiet tone to ascertain the situation, he decided to approach me in the shop to try and embarrass me in front of other customers. When I tried explaining to him that it was an honest mistake and he's seen me in the shop multiple times, he looked at me like a piece of dirt on his shoe.
All of the staff in this shop seem to walk around like they're inferiors and constantly watching people whenever they pick up items, particularly the security officer and even for law-abiding citizens.
I will never use this branch of Boots again and I will be looking to lodge a formal complaint with head office over the treatment their staff give to customers. Absolutely disgusting!!
I own a business and I would never allow my staff to treat customers that way, there are clear...

I don't say this lightly when I say that everytime, visiting the shop for collecting my prescriptions, the resident security guard on any given day and certain members of staff, overly scrutinise myself upon entering to the point of calling there actions as racist. Even when it is relatively busy with people they follow and frequently look at myself, which is when I notice and realise, that i am the only black person in the shop at that time, it leaves me feeling both unnerved and uncomfortable. The most recent incident was when using one of their self-service tills alongside other customers ...again only black person in the shop, a staff member opened up the main the till to serve the growing queue , I completed my purchase and yet upon exiting, in the corner of my eye i could still see them staring at me even though they were in the midst of serving a customer, as if expecting or anticipating the security alarms to go off. If you are not a white person then please avoid. Shame the Superdrug at the station doesn't have a pharmacy built in the staff there are nicer and feel...
