I see people have already complained about the pharmacy staff here, but probably never experienced the pure horror that I did today. I was unfortunate enough to walk into the trap of an utter psychopath - who I sadly share the first name with. Well, thereās no point in naming and shaming her here (as it was her last day) but nevertheless: I was simply buying a medicine that I couldnāt take off the shelf myself, she started to explain what the side effects were, etc. , I told her Iād taken it before (just for her information, without raising my voice or anything), she told me to ābe quiet, Iām the one doing the talking here!!ā. Appalled, I demanded to talk to the manager. After persuading her colleagues to make her apologise (yes, I had to persuade them first... theyāre all in cahoots, they donāt really care about customer experience).Instead of an apology I got a hysterical speech saying that I was the one having a go at her, ruining her last day at work, and thatās why sheād snapped. Wow. Thatās...not an apology. I told her Iād never āhad a go at herā. She got even more excited, her bloodshot eyes wide open, pointing her finger at me as she yelled and yelled ā and finally TRIED TO GRAB ME BY THE COLLAR OF MY JACKET. The colleague pushed her back so I didnāt get hurt, but could have easily. So I did call the police on her for attempted physical assault, waiting for their arrival while she was back at the till, working for the last twenty minutes of her last shift; every colleague around her just ignored the customer who was nearly strangled. Basically they acted like one small gang; if they think youāve messed with one of them, theyāll have THEIR back, not yours. Horrible. Disgraceful. Worse than Jade Goodie, but unpunished. The police didnāt arrive, she finished her shift, got her farewell bouquet and got out through the back door. Iām filing a report tomorrow morning.
Shame on Boots for having ever hired that lunatic. She belongs in a mental institution in a VERY tight...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreReally rude staff member at the till - came over with my items and was not greeted with a mere 'Hi' or a simple smile. Throughout the transaction she acted as if she could not speak and would only nod her head or gesture with her fingers with a scowl on her face. As I was preparing to leave the till, I did not bother to say 'Thank you' to her simply because she did not treat me well. I turned my back and headed for the exit when I hear her shout a 'You're welcome!' from behind me. I did not want to stoop down to her level and try to argue with her because those kinds of people seem to thrive upon arguments and negativity. I could not remember her name, but she seemed like she had an Indian or Pakistani ethnicity, and was also noticeably muslim. I am a muslim myself and I was disgusted by this type of behaviour - she is truly giving off a bad image of Islam. If she treated her equal like that, how would she treat people of different races and religions? The best Boots branch I have been to is the one in Dubai - extremely helpful staff that actually greet you with a smile on their face. If she was having a bad day, she shouldn't let that interfere with her profession; emotions and professions are two strictly different things that should be kept separate at all times. I truly hope someone managing the branch sees this and thinks twice about their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBoots Canary Wharf is a makeup lover's dream come true, with an impressive range of luxury makeup brands available. From Dior to YSL and everything in between, this store is a treasure trove for anyone looking to indulge in some high-end beauty products.
However, while the selection of makeup brands is excellent, the same cannot be said for the staff at Boots Canary Wharf. Unfortunately, most of the staff seemed completely incompetent, and their customer service skills left a lot to be desired. Many of the staff members were highly judgmental and even downright disgusting in their behavior, especially the old lady who takes care of Dior. It is truly disappointing to see such behavior from staff at a store that prides itself on luxury and quality.
That being said, there was one bright spot amidst all of the negativity, and that was the lady who handles YSL. She was an absolute ray of sunshine and went above and beyond to assist me with my purchases. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely seemed to care about providing a positive customer experience.
In conclusion, while the range of luxury makeup brands at Boots Canary Wharf is impressive, the incompetence of most of the staff is a major detractor from the overall experience. It is truly disappointing to see such behavior from staff in a store that should be a beacon of luxury...
