AVOID!! Don't waste your time here. Upon booking, I thought it was pretty much worth my money, it turns out the only two worthinesses are its location and the large room. Our room is on the 4th floor, which means we can use the lift up to the 3rd floor, and we had to carry our bags up the tiny, steep stairs to the 4th floor. The size of the room is quite large; there's a dishwasher, microwave, and refrigerator. On the first night, everything was fine, but on the second night, the electricity was cut out because the keycard wasn't working. The receptionist couldn't help much, and it was me to figure out the idea that changing the keycard might help; it happened again on the 2nd and 3rd night, and I had to walk down four flights of stairs (the lift is very slow), and from house no. 81 to no. 55 in the middle of the night. They had me deposit 200 GBP, which takes a considerable amount from the trip money. The heater isn't working. The floor looks like it's been drowned in water. The windows couldn't correctly shut, so there was wind and noise inside the room. The bed is too thin, which leads to backache in the morning. You can hear it every time someone walks outside the room, even though you are the only room up the side of the building. Avoid! Spend your money...
Read moreFlew in from Norway to see a concert and stayed here for two nights. We were a bit late with booking a hotel so the prices were quite high for a lower end hotel. Staff was friendly during check in and checking out. The lobby is a bit misleading as it’s quite nice and luxurious, whilst the rooms tells a different story. I think having someone working full time with opening the door to the lobby as you enter is a funny placement of money when you can’t afford to keep decent standards of the rooms and clean properly. There was funky stains on the walls by the bed that i don’t want to know what is. A bottom end hotel costing half the price per night in Norway is still miles ahead in both cleanliness and interior standards. But I know there’s different standards so you can’t expect it to be as good other places. Anyhow, if you get the place for cheaper by ordering we’ll ahead of time, then it does what it’s supposed - give you roof over your head and a bed...
Read moreI already disliked London but this takes the cake. Apart from the greyness of Ol’ Blighty, the room we stayed in was dank… usually I like the dank but this ain’t it. The floor had water damage and flexed with every footstep. The bathroom amenities were less than half filled shampoo and body wash bottles. No lamps or bedside table for said non existent lamp. Just the “BIG LIGHT” which boiled my eggs. Pillows that are lumpier than your nans gravy. A goddamn rooster is in the backyard squarkin at the “crack of dawn” (the sun doesn’t exist in England) You can hear every conversation that goes on in the hall.
Imperial suites has the audacity to charge a £200 deposit! Cor blimey that grated my cheese.
Highlights were that there is a m&s food round the corner and the waitrose also round the corner has an Indian banquet for 2 that is £12.
Also someone fell on the tracks at Queensway station and died!
To summarise,...
