Have had previous dance experience, however, I learned a lot from the teachers at Salsa Tropical (more than I thought I would) they are all very friendly and professional in dance - they work hard to produce interesting lessons, and are very observant of their student's dancing capabilities and know how to produce a lesson suitable for the student. They give a lot of feedback, which is crucial to allow students to progress with high standards and knowledge of Salsa. Their organisation of content and records for teachers training could be improved, as there were some minor confusions that could have been avoided at the early stages. However, after completing the lessons I had with Salsa Tropical; my footwork became more proficient, I gained a better understanding for both leader and follower patterns, a larger repertoire of moves and also learned how best to communicate with others if you were to teach a Salsa lesson yourself. I learned a lot and will use what I have learned with them into the future. Whether you are total beginner, or someone with experience and/or thinking of teaching, I think Salsa Tropical will have something to offer you....

What the reviews say is absolutely true. Maria is a pleasure to be with. She immediately puts you at ease with her warm personality. Maria has a history in dance which is evident as you go through your lesson. She can explain the history of the dance, the anatomy of the human body, muscle memory, musicology etc etc. Maria is a pleasure to be with. I completed the 5 hours of lessons together with my wife. We had a check over and fix session on Cuban and Crossbody Salsa followed by 1 hour of Afro Cuban dance. Found some faults and hopefully fixed them. Loved the Afro Cuban. This event gives students the opportunity to practice their salsa in a party atmosphere with different people.
