GG Oriental Snack Shack — Local services in Oxford

Very poor attitude towards customers. We were visiting Oxford for the day and were delighted to find frozen durian on the shelves in this shop (my wife is Malaysian, and Malaysians are obsessed with durian, so this was a real treat). We've been looking everywhere for it and haven't found any in the UK for months.

And when we took it to the till we were told, "Oh, it's not on the system, I can't sell it to you." Just like that.

We explained that we'd been looking for it for ages, we were just visiting for the day, could she please find a solution, and she then phoned the shop owner and explained the situation. We thought surely the Asian owner will understand and find a solution. We even offered to pay extra (we know what it retails for). And yet the same negative answer came back.

So it seems they don't want to sell their goods, or take care of their customers. Very poor. I also saw the recent review below about out of date stock being left on their shelves even after a customer complained and got a refund. This 100% fits with...

This Asian snack shop was mind blowing. The varieties of snacks from Japan, China, Korea, Singapore and even India was shocking! I never expected it to be this good! The place is clean, no dusty shelves and calm! The staff are so kind and helpful! I once asked them to stock in a favourite snack of mine and after a few weeks they started stocking the shelves with it! This made me so extremely happy. They have exotic fruits, delicious cakes, great pastries, fresh vegetables, juicy sauces, all snacks, frozen food, noodles of all sorts and even household items like kitchen utensils, daily use items and trendy things. Buying so many trending things from here really made an impact on my social life too! Now I come here every 4-5 times a week, I will keep you updated on my experience here. I bought ”Wahaha AD drink” on 27th Aug, but after drinking it we realised the expiration date print on the bottle is 7/8/2020. Today I went to the shop again to tell them and get refund.
