An Absolute Blast from the Past!

Wow! This 80s-themed escape room was awesome, and one of the most unique experiences I’ve had in a long time! From the moment we stepped inside, it felt like we had been transported straight into a time capsule of pure nostalgia. The attention to detail was great—from the retro posters, to the atari and vintage props, every inch of the room screamed 1980s perfection.

The puzzles were fantastic, striking the perfect balance between challenging and wildly fun. They incorporated so many clever nods to the era—deciphering clues was a blast. It was immersive and very creative.

The game master was phenomenal, staying in character the whole time and making sure we had an absolute blast. The soundtrack? Unreal! It felt like we were living inside an 80s movie, complete with high-energy tracks and iconic hits playing in the background.

If you love escape rooms, the 80s, or just having an unforgettable time, DO NOT MISS THIS ROOM! It was pure fun, and 100% worth it. We’re already planning...

So much fun! The 80's themed room was so well done and so nostalgic!!! I absolutely loved it :) My hubby and I needed a date night out so bad and when we searched up things to do under that criteria we stumbled upon ABQ Escape Room's site. The staff was super kind, helpful and informative so we knew what we were doing when we started by ourselves. We did it as a couple, so it took us longer to get through all the puzzles, but if you go in a larger group you should fly through it a lot easier. The puzzles were just easy enough to not totally stress you out if you couldn't solve it right away but hard enough to keep you interested and you get hints and clues just incase you are stuck for too long on something. We had 1 minute left on the clock with our last task and didn't quite make it in time, but we figured it out so we were satisfied and felt like we won still. lol I would definitely recommend this as a date night or fun day out with family and friends looking for something to do on...

We booked a trip through the Becoming Houdini room, which is one of the harder rooms that they offer. This was our first time going through an escape room of any kind.

We walked in a little early and were greeted very quickly. Got shown to our room, and the rules were explained. Every interaction we had was friendly and very welcoming.

Long story short, we didn’t quite make it through the whole experience, our fault, because we didn’t really know what we were doing. 😀 However, we enjoyed the experience so much, we actually rebooked the same day to try to make it through the room. This time, there was success! The same staff members greeted us on our return trip, and were still just as friendly as before.

In the preview video, there is a moment that says you may work some magic of your own, and there was for sure a part that threw us all for a loop.

If I could rate more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. Please, try them out for yourselves, and have the time...
