J.Jill — Local services in Albuquerque

I have never posted a review, and I don't have any social media accounts. However, I felt it was important to post this review for future customers of the Albuquerque Uptown J.Jill store (particularly if you are a person who is not their typical demographic). I visited this store with my mom and neice on Mother's Day. The purpose of our visit was to purchase an outfit for my mom as a gift. I noticed we had not been greeted upon entering, as I later noticed other customers consistently were. I observed the sales staff interact and assist all of the white customers. We happened to be the only people of color in the store during our whole visit, and were avoided unless it was absolutely necessary to interact with us. I reluctantly purchased the clothing for my mom, but won't ever enter this store again. The prejudice felt subtle, but real. Such a shame for a store in New Mexico to engage in this behavior, since we have such a beautifully diverse population. I hope this helps to bring awareness...

Hello Customers of JJill. As of today Nov, 16, 2020; our stores will remain open for Curbside only for the duration of the Health Order of NM. Please call the store to purchase via phone, we can do concierge and send sales as well or virtual shopping.
