I was vexed after an unpleasant customer service experience at this location. This review is elongated and meticulous. I purchased an item and went back to the store with my proof of purchase to return it two days later. The cashier, Chelsea, said it could not be returned. I explained to her I was not made aware of the return policy because the cashier did not advise me at the time of sale, it is not listed on the receipt, nor is it displayed at the register. She said the system could not accept it and provided me the number to customer support. I went to the food court and called. I spoke with Shelby at the contact center. While I was on the phone with her, she placed me on hold and reached out to this store to advise them to proceed with the refund. When she returned to the call, she informed me Chelsea said she did not complete my transaction because my item was not on my receipt. I read the barcode number and the number that was on my proof of purchase to Shelby. She placed me on hold again to speak with the store. I went back to the shop to show the numbers matched. However, upon my arrival, the doors were closed and locked! Shelby came back on the line and informed me the store ceased operations for the remainder of the day because they did not have any employees to close for that night and she would have to call me back to contact the district manager to have them reopen. As soon as we disconnected the call, a different employee opened the door. I went to the counter and Chelsea told me to wait because she was “reopening” the register. I waited 20 minutes for her to complete my return. That was a horrendous refund encounter!! Although Shelby was pleasant, the ordeal could have been avoided if Chelsea would have accepted my return when I first went to the shop because apparently, she could have done it (“but the system could not accept it”)! If Claire’s start closing locations due to the company’s bankruptcy, they should start with this site since there are not enough employees...
Read moreThe store manager Jessi (and asst store mgr, I didn’t catch her name) deserve raises for sure, or a nice Christmas bonus at minimum. We took our girls to get their ears pierced today and when we walked in we almost walked right out. The store was packed, the line at the register was 6-7 deep and there were already 2 ppl waiting to get their ears pierced. I thought we’d be left waiting forever due to the circumstances, Jessi handled it all in stride. She let us know the process and once she got the customers at the register out she came over to do all the piercings. And with the stress of it all (holiday shoppers, busy, questions, etc) she came over and was just as polite and cheery as I’ve ever seen an employee in that situation. It was my kids first piercing and they were nervous and Jessi (and then the asst mgr showed up for duty as well and jumped right in to help) and made my kids feel at ease and made the event a special one. Everything turned out great and my girls were super excited and happy with how it turned out. Very thankful these two were the ones working today because not many ppl can handle these types of situations and not only maintain their composure, but do it with a smile and keep it flowing like it should. 5 stars...
Read moreJasmine, the manager, is very kind and accommodating. On two separate occasions, she made our experience at Claire’s a pleasure. One time, she squeezed us in for an ear piercing appointment, and was patient as we explained (multiple times by phone) that we were lost and thus running late. Then she didn’t rush us as we decided on the earrings and as we fretted over exactly where to put the holes. She did a great job with the actual “poke,” too. The piercings were a birthday present for our daughter so it was super special and important to us that Jasmine helped us get a slot on that day. Another time, we made an error in judgment in purchasing an item in a “buy 3 get 2 free” sale, and she helped us make an exchange. This Claire’s location is great because of Jasmine! One last thought: the jewelry selection aimed at teens and young adults includes unique and interesting items and not just things that are too...
