Disappointed by Haagen-Dazs’ Free Cone Day Hype

My sister-in-law and I stopped by Haagen-Dazs on May 13th, excited to grab her free ice cream for their so-called Free Cone Day. Unfortunately, she was told their “system wasn’t working” — and that was it. No backup plan, no ice cream, just a shrug.

It’s really disappointing when a company promotes a nationwide event but doesn’t make sure all their locations are ready. There wasn’t even a notice saying this store wasn’t participating. Blaming it on a “technical issue” felt like a lazy excuse.

In the end, it seemed more like a way to bring people into the store under false promises. If you’re going to advertise something to this extent, you should follow through. Otherwise, it feels like a cheap marketing trick — and that’s a quick way to lose...

The ice cream hits the spot every time - especially the coffee chocolate chip in the rainbow sprinkle waffle cone. Whether you're into classic flavors or something more unique, there’s something here for everyone. And the brownies are unreal.

It’s rare to find a place that nails both the product and the experience, but this spot does it effortlessly. A must-visit for dessert lovers and a true treasure...

We absolutely love this Haagen-Dazs location! The owner (both the husband and wife) are always so sweet and they work so hard! They are caring and kind and always greet us even of we don't get ice cream for the day! We love the coffee chip and Irish cream brownie! The flavors are so rich and the scoop sizes are wonderful!
