um … a very obvious loss prevention duo stands outside the door dressed in clothes that THINK are incognito (think hipster, circa 2015 attire) and will follow you into and around the store .. if you’re black. there are probably 10 other people in the store (who didn’t look like me if you catch my drift) but they only followed me into the store and then followed my EVERY move. mind you i’m wearing jeans and a cardigan, i look like a damn librarian, but when you’re black … doesn’t matter. even watching me like a hawk from a shelf over. super obvious. had to juke them out a couple times so they’d leave me alone 😂 and let me shop in PEACE. I didn’t end up getting anything because they didn’t have a specific sanrio pompomurin keychain I was looking for (not their fault at all) .. but that really sucks to experience. especially as a customer who has been shopping at this store since their conception. like wayyyy back. and I pay for everything, every time I shop, everyWHERE I shop. I’m happy to, I earn my money like everyone else and spend it at cool places like this but idk about coming here anymore. stop profiling people and worry about people who are ACTUALLY stealing. get cameras. even if they’re decoys. get a “smile you’re on camera” sign, idk. it’s 2025! bc following innocent people around stores is shitty. happy black history month ! also, nothing against the employees, y’all are a vibe! I work at a retail store too and I hate getting stolen from, I get it, but having LP profiling people + following me based on ?? (god knows what) is too much. Girl with orange hair at the register today at 12:30pm had an attitude. I brought a plush (the $19.99 molang rabbit) to the counter to purchase and she had a fit because I had mistakenly took the display one she taped down. She then proceeded to ignore me and storm off to the back complaining about how she had to tape it back down and that she couldn't sell it to me even though there was another one right there. It was held down by a single tiny strip of tape, I did not see it and had no idea it was the display. It had a price tag and everything.
