Five Below — Local services in American Fork

I was first introduced to 5 Below in Oklahoma while visiting family several years ago.

It blew my mind. Bins and shelves and displays and end caps were filled with toys, games, accessories, decorations, costume jewelry, and trinkets that were over-priced at other discount stores but cost too much for the dollar store. My first thought was, "Why doesn't Utah have one of these?"

I can only wait for the day when the AF store meets or exceeds this expectation. There were no bins. Shelves and peg boards were empty with tags of items that may have been there at one point or maybe will be stocked soon. The inventory resembled that of our local dollar tree. There is candy. So. Much. Candy.

A tiny little display of Claire's-esque items and a little horseshoe-area of toys is what we liked the most after walking the whole store. I hyped this store up for my kids thinking I would walk into that Oklahoma dream again, and I had to force myself to keep that excitement up for them.

If you need 70 copies of The Office Trivia game or a present for that birthday party your kid didn't tell you about until it starts in an hour, then this is a great place to check out.

I genuinely love this store, but I bought a perfume there because it smelt exactly like the Ariana Grande ‘Cloud’ perfume she sells. Little did I know shortly after using it, my throat started closing up and I had to be admitted to the ER and am still having trouble breathing right. It made my airway close up a day ago, I took 2 allergy meds and 2 Benadryl but it did nothing. Finally I got 2 EpiPens injected, a steroid shot, Benadryl shot and had to have an X-ray of my lungs. It was a near death experience because I could barely breathe!! Do not buy any perfume from Five Below unless you want to be paying loads of money for the ER to save your life. The ingredients in that perfume are banned in Europe as well!! Use my photos for reference and don’t buy perfumes there!!!! Five below is my go-to store when shopping on a budget looking for some awesome items. They have candy for your well-behaved kid's, as well as drinks and snacks. I could go over every item I remember, but that would take ages. It's one of those stores if you haven't been to you should stop by and give it a try, you might actually find something you need. Everything is mostly five below. With the exception of some items that will cost more. The store is well kept at times, and the store employees welcome you in and / or out when you leave. It all depends on the employees. Great store, and they have multiple locations to choose from if you don't like this certain store. Check it out.
