HomeGoods was my āHappy Placeā when it was located on Carpenter Road. Sadly, it has lost its appeal since moving to Arborland Mall. The prior location had a wide beautiful layout of merchandise areas. Aisles were wide and easy to stroll down and find great bargains nicely positioned on a table or shelf. This new locationās layout is a disaster! What did you do, HomeGoods?! You took away all the joys of shopping. Aisles are now very narrow, cramped and hard to get through with one shopping cart. Most items are stuffed into every open space on every table and shelf. You canāt find anything easy. If you stop to look at an item, you block everyone else from getting through the isle. Prices are still a bargain but thatās about it. The check out area is an ugly long maze area which makes you feel like cattle being herded toward some hidden cashier and exit. Come on, HomeGoods! Do better! Widen aisles, lower inner shelves so customers can see area signs again across the store, donāt cram so much stuff onto tables and shelves and make the exit area more open...

Merchandise is packed onto the shelves in a haphazard way. Your cart constantly gets stuck on things. The actual location is more difficult to access. Overall, I am sad that they moved to Washtenaw from Carpenter. I will not visit as frequently due to the location and the giant mess inside the store. Hopefully, they will reconsider moving back to the old location.
11/8/2024 This store has only become more cluttered and more difficult to walk around in. On a recent visit, my mother could not maneuver her walker through the store. As items are so piled on the shelves, many items are broken. Make sure to thoroughly inspect your things before purchasing. It is no longer a relaxing place to browse. What has...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy boyfriend stopped by today to buy a tv stand for our new home and due to traffic he made it there close to closing but definitely well before. Already knowing what he wanted, it would have been a quick and easy transaction especially with him bringing his own equipment and man power to help. The cashier then made a comment to him āI guess weāre getting off late today.ā I would think that a customer making a $300-$400 purchase wouldāve been greeted with respect but apparently not. Iām not even the type to leave reviews but that was just rude. Company and products are nice, the people at this location,...
