This past Sunday, I brought my wife and kids to Chili’s for dinner on our way back home to Ohio after visiting family in Ann Arbor. Afterward, we ended up walking next door to Potbelly’s for milkshakes and cookies.
After maybe thirty minutes at Potbelly’s, we didn’t even realize that we had stayed past closing time until the manager, Anthony, let us know that they would be locking doors but politely informed us that we were more than welcome to stay with how cold it was outside.
As we were getting ready to leave, I noticed that our van’s remote start wasn’t working and when we got out to the van, it wouldn’t start at all. It was so cold that after a few attempts of starting it with no luck, I needed to get my family back inside where it was warm. So, we walked back, knocked on Potbelly’s doors and Anthony let us back in as we explained that our van wouldn’t start. I let him know that we just needed some time to call AAA and he told us to take our time. However, when I called AAA, they told us that the wait would be well over an hour with it being a very busy Sunday night but I didn't know what to do because Potbelly’s was already closed.
When I told Anthony AAA’s ETA, he immediately offered to jump start our van for us. I refused at first, but he insisted since we had apparently parked right next to his vehicle in the parking lot anyways and he ensured us that it would be quick and easy. Mind you, this young man was wearing shorts with it being ZERO degrees outside but he still got our van started and got us on the road back to Toledo much earlier than we would have if we had waited for AAA.
I have never left a google review before but the owner of this location needs to know about our experience and the manager absolutely deserves recognition for his team’s hospitality and his own generosity. We will be back the next time we are...
Read moreI have been to many sandwich shops but Potbelly's is unique for many reasons. It appears to be a sandwich shop only but the menu is as vast as the universe. There are many options, and many options after the options have seemed to run out. The bathrooms are clean and inviting. The service is fast and friendly. The management gets involved doing the "dirty work" if it gets really busy. I would recommend Potbelly for a meal alone, a meal to share intimately, a family meal after Sunday Church Service or the like. Even, just a quick bite to grab and go. In this current world of binge and bag, Potbelly is a an adequate alternative to the faster food stops that have long lost their cookie-cutter, corporate "congratulations, because you just spent a fortune, for a frozen, microwaved, thrown on a plastic plate along with the soul of American Health and...
Read moreI’m not frequent flier for Potbelly. It’s usually not even on my radar. I would like to give a special mention to Hayley and Anthony, who were exceptional in their service. The owner of this location has truly found gem associates who made my visit memorable.
One thing that stood out to me was the level of competence and friendliness displayed by the staff. It can be difficult to find staff who not only possess excellent customer service skills but also actively listen and engage with customers. Hayley and Anthony demonstrated exceptional critical thinking skills, ensuring that my order was exactly what I wanted and providing helpful recommendations.
Overall, I highly recommend visiting this Potbelly location. The staff, particularly Hayley and Anthony, go above and beyond to create a positive and enjoyable...
