Kids World of Asheboro — Local services in Asheboro

I’ve actively supported Kids World Of Asheboro for 4 years, I have brought numerous items in and bought many more. I’ve noticed lately she’s given back majority of my items I brought in there. I buy my stepson all name brand, high end clothing and don’t bring any clothes without being washed first, no stains, etc. I brought a tote of clothes, shoes, bag of socks and a tote of toys. I washed every toy by hand which left a few water spots, she claimed she couldn’t take it cause of “water in the bin”! My clothes bin was not received due to “pet hair” and “pet odor”, both accusations were false, I went over my items and noticed none of them had pet smell or pet hair. I follow the intensely strict rules and still don’t have the ability to bring anything in. I’m simply disappointed and will bring my stepsons clothes elsewhere. I’m not by any means trying to destroy her business reputation, I just don’t agree with the fact she loses the idea of what it really is which is a CONSIGNMENT STORE, not everything brought in is going to...

I tried calling before going, just to be clear with the cash on the spot process. No answer. The cashier did mention they forgot to turn the business phone on. I went to the website to see what all they accepted. It states they the accept car seats that’s why I was motivated to go there, since no one else takes them. I drove there from Greensboro for the lady to say the owner has to be here for cash on the spot. I’m a little disappointed because the owner wasn’t there but I was willing to make an appointment. The lady decides to call the owner and lets me know that they don’t accept car seats though I see a used car seat in the store. She also said they don’t buy shoes, clothes or toys on the spot. So why have it as an option? Or at least be clear on the website. Some of us do read. I wasted gas going there from Greensboro to not sell anything. Love this place! I have been shopping and consigning here since they opened, and it is very apparent that the owner of this store not only cares deeply about her business and the other parents that shop here as well, but takes the extensive effort to also extend store hours occasionally for parents who can’t make it during work hours (I mean come on, that’s awesome). She makes sure prices stay affordable, items offered are still in great shape, and most of all that it remains a great atmosphere to shop in, with or without your kids! This store is an absolutely amazing resource for families that don’t want to or can’t pay full price for brand new items that their kids are going to grow out of in 3 months anyways.
