UPDATED! It was not Staples Fault! It's all on UPS. The package was found and delivered. Sorry, Staples! Read the entire story, but i learned a lesson, don't wait till only 7 days before Christmas, the UPS system cannot handle the overload. Here's what happened on Dec. 17..... Staples is the Grinch That Stole My Christmas!! They LOST my UPS package!!! Totally Clueless, as to the whereabouts of my supposedly shipped package. They charged $43.78 shipping to my credit card, and all I got was a lot of excuses. This was a Christmas gift to a special niece, living alone, widowed, the one person we truly wanted to say , "We care about you!" and now, because of bad service, we have failed, and it's too late to do anything about it!!! Christmas is just a few days away! All the shopping, wrapping and heartfelt thoughts that went into these gifts are now in some one else's hands, so we hope they reap their just rewards for stealing this package! After spending hours trying to track and phone UPS as to the whereabouts of this package, I was told (by UPS) that it is up to Staples to trace the package. One of the employees said, "You'll get $100 bucks!" and that was that! UPS said the trace HAD to originate in the Staples store, not with them, more passing of the buck! Customers - BEWARE! When you drop off your parcels and pay your shipping fees, there is no guarantee that Staples will do their part. Now we are faced with a long, drawn-out battle of phone calls and time wasted, while the recipient sits alone at Christmas with no GIFTS! Truth be told, many parcels waiting for pick-up were either left outside the store. all packages contain a bar code and the only Tracking we received was "Label Created (at the store) with Time/Date. So far, no one is accountable. If this ever gets "righted" I'll write another review, to be fair, but it will still be an empty Christmas for a beloved niece! If I had mailed it, it would be there by now! UPDATE: Sorry Staples, it wasn't you after all, it was UPS that completely forgot how to SCAN a package! It DID ARRIVE, but there was never any TRACKING! How did this happen, we will never know!!! A TRUE CHRISTMAS MIRACLE! That's what it was! Next time, I WILL NEVER SHIP A PACKAGE WITH ONLY 7 DAYS TO GO. THE SYSTEM WAS JAMMED AND THEY COULD NOT HANDLE THE OVERLOAD. SORRY, STAPLES, IT WAS REALLY...
Read moreCame into make some returns from Amazon. I was met with a very rude staples worker at the door stating the store did not open for another hour and asked where I got that they opened at 8 am from with an attitude. I stated from searching staples on google. Again with an attitude, the worker stated that, âwell google is always wrong.â I was wrong on the time, but the attitude given wasnât needed or necessary. Another customer thought the time was 8 am and asked me (walking back to my car) if they werenât accepting items for shipping anymore. I stated âthey donât open until 9 am.â The worker was still standing at the door making comments. I didnât fully hear the comments because again, I was walking back to my car. I was simply coming to ship somethingâs off and I had to deal with someone who seemed to be irritated they had to come in and work or explain their times.
This is not the first time Iâve dealt with rude or just unfriendly staples workers but I tried to over look it. No one even says hello most of the time when you walk in and when you ask for help it just seems to be a bother to most of them.
I understand this statement companies may laugh at because there will always be someone returning to their store, but I will not be returning to staples anymore. And by the looks of the overall rating and other comments stating similar things, I think itâs time for this company to take a look at how and who is...
Read moreBe sure to call ahead when making Amazon returns. I was unable to return a package because of âlack of staff.â There were, however, two young women - unoccupied - standing in the checkout and print shop areas. Two additional patrons arrived to the EMPTY store to also process Amazon returns, and we were all told neither staff member could assist us because they needed to be available to check people out. Again, the store was empty except for those of us making Amazon returns. When we asked to speak to the manager, we were told by the fairly unhelpful woman in the checkout that she WAS the manager. I understand and empathize with staffing issues, but this appears to simply be poor customer service. Unfortunately, I was forced to take my packages - and my business...
