I typically don’t complain about service, I’m very understanding, get along with others well. Find it easier to handle a little displeasure than bother others complaining while creating uncomfortable situations. I wont stand for being treated unfairly or blatantly disrespected tho. I think you’ll be hard pressed to agree with what the “manager” just did to me art harbor freight. I visited to purchases a product for 27.00, needed it for parts only. Cashier offered extended warranty that I declined stating there’s no need I’m cutting these up. She said that’s ok, just return it when you’re done and we’ll replace them. I declined three times, explaining there wouldn’t be much left. She insisted, so I asked “if I carry this back tomorrow and hand you the four clamps, you’ll happily exchange it?” She said absolutely. I gave in and bought the warranty for a product I bought to destroy, and promised be back tomorrow to exchange it. I don’t take advantage of others and didn’t try to, but I will take advantage of a good deal or opportunity, and was happy to here. I came back early the next day, grabbed a new set and got in line. At the register I asked for a warranty exchange, She looked at me like I was crazy and asked where’s the rest of it? I told her that was all that wasn’t destroyed, but I purchased the warranty for any damage. She said, it’s missing, I can’t take this. I explained it was destroyed and doesn’t exist any longer, that’s why I paid for the warranty. She kept repeating i only paid 27 bucks for the item, at least three times I pointed the receipt out and explained, plus the warranty. I explained refusing the warranty three times the previous day, how I was told to use it. I told her that I had asked specifically if returning just the handles was acceptable, was assured it was, and only then did I agree to purchase a warranty on something I was buying to destroy! I told her I had no intent to deceive or take advantage, but I paid 1/3rd of the total value for that warranty because you guys implored me to. So I asked for a refund on just the warranty. No, she said angrily, I didn’t promise you anything and won’t exchang or refund anything. I told her she didn’t promise me anything, Harbor Freight promised me through representation and you won’t even give me my warranty price back? She’s been rude, vocal, and has aggressively denied me acceptable service. I remained calm, but she suddenly told me not to get loud with her! I felt taken advantage of, told her to just keep them and began leaving. I’m walking away she says “yea, big man”, I don’t think she thought I heard her because I didn’t respond, so she repeated that two more times, louder each time. I never responded, kept walking and left. I Called to speak to management about the situation and she is the locations management. If the actual management on site has no idea what customer service is, and is actually willing to chastise a loyal consumer that’s always respectful and has an open account there showing thousands spent on site, than this is my only recourse. I can’t understand how “management” couldn’t keep a very easy to please customer happy in this situation. I gave her an easy way to resolve the issue and completely de escalate a situation created by their rep, that didn’t benefit myself at all and was chastised while walking away. I’m a marine corps veteran, just wanted some jumper cables for the wire. I didn’t ask for anything extra, they hurt my pride, took a few bucks and insulted me in front of two of my boys 9-10, inexcusable,...
Read moreI could seriously spend an entire day in this store and never get bored. I just learned that you can use as many coupons as you want, which was surprising. What I mean is.. if you have coupons for specific items, like I found one for 24ct AA & AAA batteries which are normally $3.99 but with the coupon they were $1.24 or something and you could get up to 3 packs for that price. I had another coupon for a Dremel tool, normally $10 for $6.99, a $3.99 light for 89¢... plus you can also use the 20% off coupon for an item that doesn't have a specific coupon. You can sign up for their free loyalty club & get coupon books sent to your house & get receipts of your purchases automatically sent to your email, so if you're like me and can't keep up with receipts, you don't have to worry about proof of purchase in case you needed to return something, because you'd have it in your email. A lot of people talk about the cheap quality of Harbor Freight stuff but I've never had an issue with anything I've gotten there. If you need tools that'll stand up to heavy use & lots of wear & tear then you'd probably be better off going with an expensive brand but the tools here do get the job done and at...
Read morePurchased a micro air die grinder item #60244 just replaced it for the 5th time in 3 or 4 days, 3 of them were broke out of the box, the other 2 broke within an hour of using them. I'm using this to port and polish a head while I wait for my new Eastwood grinder to show up, I've simply purchased this tool to use as a temporary replacement for my Eastwood that failed after years of use, today I go into the store to exchange another one that has failed, keep in mind that 3 were broke out of the box, a lady that i have run into before exchanging these grinders checks me out and proceeds ask me if I'm using it for work, I told her I was, and she decides to tell me i must not know what I'm doing, and that I'm obviously using the wrong tool for the job, and then that this is the last one I'll receive, and they will not warranty anymore. Wonderful customer service if you ask me.... the quality workmanship of your products is not my fault. I encourage anyone there to come do a better port job on race bike heads without a CNC machine that costs hundreds of thousands of dollars, since you will not stand behind your warranty I will be returning this last item for a...
