Absolutely awful. I'm not even sure where to start. Very dishonest manager. Do not trust anything he says. Employees are treated with no respect. The few employees they have left there are all very nice, hardworking people but they are understaffed and expected to do too much at once. One staff member is expected to man the front desk, clean the bathrooms, do orientations, and put weights away. It's not their fault. Members complain about money taken out of their accounts after they have canceled months before. You will be in gym contract hell with them. It's a very small gym that charges too much for the limited space and worn out equipment that they refuse to replace. And because of the manager's ineptness and bad behavior, they have no personal trainers. Why not pay half the price and go to planet fitness which is a huge space and clean and easy to cancel? If you're more of a bodybuilder type there is nautilus and other gyms. Nautilus is only $20 a month, open 24/7, has classes, is much bigger, better equipment, and a juice bar. This is a sad little place with a hostile environment that will probably not last long.
Edit: Whoever is trying to intimidate me to take down my review and say that it is false, this will not work. Everything I am saying is true. I will also add that my client was offered a non certified person to "train him" to make up for the costly training package he had purchased. He refused and the gym is now refusing to return his money. This is fraud. Give the man his money back. He doesn't deserve to get ripped off. Putting clients with a lady with no certification is wildly dangerous and irresponsible. Especially clients who have injuries or health problems. I have made it clear that I will take down the review when the owner mans up and deals with the very inappropriate situation and the manager apologizes to me and my client gets his money returned to him. Stop treating people so badly and ripping people off. When you have such a high staff turnover and are so desperate you are trying to bring in people to train with no certification, perhaps the problem isn't everyone else, it is you. I have video footage that I will post publicly if you continue to say that my review is dishonest. You people make the industry look so bad. Fitness shouldn't just be about lining your pockets, it is about helping people live a healthier lifestyle. If you don't respect this, you shouldn't be in the industry. Do the right thing, give the gentleman his money back, stop putting clients at risk by trying to pair them with people who have no certification or experience in training special populations (older folks, those with injuries, medical conditions, etc.). When these conditions are met I will take the review down. Until then, it stays up. To anyone who is reading this please do your research on how to pick a qualified trainer. Have your trainer show you their certification and do your research on whether it is a respected organization they were certified by (NASM, ACE, ACSM are some of the best). Make sure they have up to date CPR certification as well. If you are a client with health issues or injuries ask them if they have knowledge and experience working with people with the same or similar issues. If they do not know what they are talking about, do not train with them. If they are unsure of your exact condition, a trainer with integrity will ask if they can consult with your doctor to make sure you have clearance to exercise. Please keep yourself safe. I hate to see money hungry people put clients in unsafe situations which leaves a stain on the profession. I want to encourage everyone to stay healthy and exercise is integral to a healthy lifestyle. This review is not to try and scare anyone away from personal training because working with a qualified trainer can be a very rewarding experience for both the client and the trainer. But because of dishonest people in the industry you must be able to discern for yourself and do your own research. To any client I have worked with, keep up the...
Read moreGood gym. DO NOT BUY ANY PERSONAL TRAINING!!! I enrolled in over $1,000 in personal training sessions. Had to leave for military duty- active duty orders, I was still charged. I kept telling them I was moving close to Fort Bragg, I kept getting charged over sessions I wasn't attending, Benjamin was zero help, I moved and lost all sessions. Do not go into any agreement with them. Even the contract has very little information on what to do if you have to cancel. Also, I know a few others who had issues with this as well. Benjamin by text said he was looking into my new lease (sent by me) he Left on VACATION and did not tell me, I had to call they gym to get an update on my account. Went personally from Fayetteville to Asheboro. Signed all the papers. Got a call that the staff was not allowed to accept it because the manager was not present. I had to drive AGAIN another time, The contract is binding you to zero cancellations basically, and the gym does nothing for its clients. Gym equipment is great, clean. Do not go into a contract with them for personal training. I have proof of all text, emails sent. And charges...
Read moreI did not find out until the day I tried to cancel my membership months into going that this gym supposedly offers different memberships at different price points. I was only offered workout anytime and 24 access for $30/month and made to believe this was the only option. As their spiel is no contract, I did not go home with a contract nor was I emailed one but I gave the guy working my recurring payment information. I asked questions and was assured I could cancel easily at any time. LOL it’s now been a good month, a good 7 or more calls, and four trips up to Workout Anytime Asheboro not to mention multiple emails and I am still waiting on receiving my proof of paying an extra month that was never agreed to as well as cancelling my membership. The head manager is unprofessional and unhelpful. I was given the run around for weeks and unfortunately it still seems I am. Talking to people and reading more reviews I am seeing so many others are going through the same thing. Please spare yourself the stress and lack of respect for your...
