I would never purchase from them again as I am consistently disappointed in the service or lack thereof that both Crate & Barrel and CB2 provide. I purchased my first home in May 2021 and decided to buy all new furniture for my new place. I fell in love with the furniture that CB2 provides and decided to furnish most of my home with their pieces. I placed my initial order in May 2021 and I have regretted working with this company ever since. Listed below, you will find a recap of my experience and the continued issues that CB2 continues to ignore.
Issue #1: I ordered a dresser from CB2. The dresser was delayed many times, causing me to wait several weeks before receiving it. Upon receiving it, it was completely damaged. Each piece was broken in multiple places. I was slightly disappointed, but I totally understand that these things can happen. CB2 sent me a replacement order that came fairly quickly. This time they sent a person to assemble the dresser. The dresser was poorly assembled, causing the drawers on the dresser to be uneven.
Issue #2: I ordered a bed from CB2. The bed was delivered timely, but I should’ve known that there would be an issue. Upon the delivery and installation of the bed, both my hallway walls and the walls in the primary bedroom were scratched.
Issue #3: I ordered another dresser, but this one was from Crate and Barrel. Without any notice, this dresser’s delivery date was changed.Crate and Barrel never told me that the furniture’s delivery date had been changed. The dresser never showed up on its delivery date. The dresser showed up almost a week later without notice or explanation.
Issue #4 I am still missing pieces! My first order was placed in May 2021 and as of March 2022, I still have not received all of the pieces. I’m still waiting for a chair. I understand that the world has been impacted by supply chain issues, so I have been more than patient. I cannot understand why CB2 has refused to keep me updated on the status of my order. I haven’t received any automatic notifications about this order. The anticipated shipping date has changed about ten different times. Each time it changes, I’m not notified. I only find out by calling them directly. I have repeatedly asked that they keep me in the loop, but no changes have been made. Finally, the order was ready to be delivered, but CB2 said that the delivery date would be pushed out a month. After waiting 10 months, I think it is unacceptable to ask me to continue to wait. I called CB2 yet again and they noted that they were going to use a new vendor and that my chair would be delivered a few days sooner. The chair was supposed to be delivered tomorrow, but now it is not. CB2 changed my order to be picked up only. I did not ask for it to be picked up nor did we ever discuss this as a potential option. I drive a 2 seater car! I could not pick this chair up even if I wanted to. Additionally, the couch that I purchased is defect too. The couch’s legs are uneven and do not touch the ground.
Overall, I find the CB2 team to be incredibly difficult to work with. I have spent almost 10k in their stores. Their staff lack empathy and basic communication skills. It is almost as they pride themselves in being intellectually dishonest. They over promise and under deliver. I would never recommend this...
Read moreI live about 35-40 minutes from this location, so before I went to the store, I checked to see if they had the item I intended on purchasing before heading down to the store. The Atlanta Midtown location indicated they had one of the items I wanted in stock. After shopping around and locating the item I wanted to purchase, a lady named Ann asked if she could help. I asked if they had any more of the Oscar planter in the smaller size for purchase? She said she would check. When she came back she said they did not have any more of the size I wanted so I asked if I could purchase the floor model. She said no, that it was store policy that they cannot sell the last one/floor model which I understood. She then circled back and exclaimed, “I have good news! I can make an exception and sell you this planter!” Pleased, I let her know it meant a lot to me since it is kind of a pain to get down here and the reviews online said the item dents easily so I did not want to order online. She asked where I was from. I then told her that we live in Alpharetta, she said “Oh you’re a Townie.” That commit did not offend me, but it was just not appropriate for her to say. Her next remark was, “oh, I cannot sell you this planter if you only live in Alpharetta. I thought you lived in Tennessee.” I am thinking to myself, does it matter where I live if I am a customer in your store willing and able to purchase something?! I was put off by being told I could have the planter then her revoking the exception based on where I lived. It did not make any logical sense. Here is where it gets even more weird and uncomfortable. I decided to purchase something else and was waiting at the counter to be checked out. She had her back turned toward me and was speaking to her coworker (whom I later found out was Josh, the Manager). She said “can you believe that girl?! She wanted this planter and she lives in Alpharetta! I thought she lived in Tennessee…” Her tone was rude and offsetting. Josh was facing me and tried to hush Ann. When Ann was going on and on, I finally said, “I can hear you.” She was completely caught off guard and was hopefully embarrassed. She proceeded to check me out and began to condescendingly say, you know you can always check online to see if we have what you need in stock. I let her know I did that before the trek down. She tried then tried to overcompensate her embarrassing and childish behavior by asking if I needed help with my stuff to the car. I politely told her “at this point, I just want to leave.” After paying for my item, I did just that, leave. Josh was clearly embarrassed and came out to apologize on behalf of himself and CB2 and offered a shop/gift card. I told him that I appreciated it but it was not necessary. Just that I did not understand what even happened and why Ann had such a nasty attitude. I hope this does not happen to anyone else. I have never had an experience like this previously. Ann, if you hate your life, you should not try to protrude your negativity on to others. Its...
Read moreI would define this as a showroom with a small selection of accessories and housewares. The associates that I've encountered on my many visits have all been professional and helpful. The staging is just okay, so I wouldn't say it is necessarily inspiring. It's more so for people who have a good idea of what they want but would like to see the piece in person. I really wish they would improve in this area because they have done really gorgeous furniture and accessories which lends itself to staging.
The building where they are located has added a paid parking component. However, I have noticed that they are not too aggressive and will allow you to shop without worrying your car...
