The Good This is a cute dinner spot with a prix fixe menu of steak, fritte, salad, and bread. Their gluten free bread is amazing! It’s warm, soft, and flavorful. I literally come because it’s so hard to find delicious gluten free bread at any restaurant. They also have a delectable flourless chocolate cake that is dense like a brownie, but super moist. I’d highly recommend these parts of the meal. The restaurant has an excellent speakeasy type atmosphere— which is perfect since we’re in the roaring 20’s! The steak was pretty okay. The Mid For frittes to be the only side in their menu, Bar Blanc does a bad job at cooking them… It’s like the oil is too hot and they soak them until they’re almost burnt. I’ve been twice because of the aforementioned great bread and dessert— but the fries were a shopping pile of almost burnt properties both times. At this price point, you’d expect them to do better with the sides and entree. Overall I liked the vibe, but they need to rethink their potato

It was my first time experiencing Bar Blanc, the anticipation was high. Summer (our server) was extremely attentive and sweet. Summer walked me through the experience and explained everything in full detail. The price point was amazing, however, I do have some feedback. The salad and bread was definitely shareable, the dressing on the salad was delicious. My take away is that there was not a clear indication of 2 servings of steak, both orders were on the same plate and not separated. It would have been nice for myself and my guest to clearly see that we both received equal portions. The garlic aioli and bernaise was delicious. I’m very excited I finally got to experience this. Oh, my other take away, the “hidden fees” on drinks not knowing it’s an upcharge to make an Old Fashioned, it was $6 total, things like that should be communicated, my guest also had upcharges on their drinks. I will be returning.

Solid 3 stars. Not bad but also not good. For the folks who found this place via tik tok, I would say wait for the hype to die down before visiting. Wait time was 2.5 hours (we arrived at 6pm, 1 hour after open) but apparently if you show up right at open you are more likely to get a table within a reasonable time period. The hostess was very kind. They had small bistro tables set up outside for people to wait at, and had it been a bit cooler outside would have been a pleasant place to sit and have a pre-dinner drink. Once we got seated (outside, unfortunately) service was pretty quick off the bat. The outside area left a lot to be desired, and was very closed off with limited airflow. The front seating area was much better ventilated and I would have preferred to sit out there just because of how hot and stuffy it was. Thankfully by the time we’re were seated the sun was starting to go down and it was getting cooler (85 degrees) out. Still wish they’d had a fan or something. Also nowhere to set my purse(so I put it on the ground), and one of the servers ended up kicking it over and stuff spilled out onto the dirty ground. We had to ask multiple times for refills of bread, water, etc. I asked for my steak more on the medium/medium-well side(and even had a convo with the server about it), but it ended up coming out just as medium rare as the rest of my group. The steak was good, but VERY small portion, especially for the price. Our server only checked on us once all the food was eaten and we’d been sitting for a while. The fries were good, but a bit under-salted (seemed like only the top of the pile got salted) and the salad was basic but tasty. Bread was good, and came with lots of butter. We were constantly out of water and had to flag someone down to ask for more fries. They also didn’t clear plates, baguette bags, etc. unless we asked, and there wasn’t a whole lot of room on the table. Our server seemed very busy/stressed, and I understand the restaurant has probably been swamped, but still disappointed on the service. The server even walked away as we were talking to him while he was dropping off the check(to tell him our credit cards were at the bar) and I think maybe he didn’t know we were talking to him because he was so distracted. Ended up going inside to find someone who could close out our bill. We wanted to split the dinner bill and bar tab between 2 credit cards and they were unable to accommodate it because it was too complicated. Overall not worth the money, but maybe something fun to do one time (in a few months when it’s not so busy) for...

I would like to preface this by saying I've eaten at Marcel's Bones bogo de Chao and other restaurants. But I've also eaten at longhorn outback other chain restaurants point being I like to eat out. My final bill was $144. This is with one drink and a beer added. I haven't eaten there alone so I don't know what portions I would have gotten if I ate there alone. But definitely not enough food for the price and it was not that good. There's a shake shack around the corner that would have been just as satisfying. Matter of fact, more satisfying and would have been much cheaper. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area. If you want to spend that amount that is better and on top of that you will have something to take home portion wise. We did not take anything home. We ate all of it in the restaurant so very small amount of food. Longhorn is definitely a lot better. You will also have food to take home if that's something you like. I paid for a shot of tequila. It was $21 that same shot downstairs at ormsby was $10. With all this being said, I would probably never go back. I was thinking of taking my father for his birthday. I won't be doing that. It would be a disappointment. The duck fries are better at painted duck. Food overall is better there though. You can get a better steak almost anywhere. Atmosphere you can go to any restaurant in that area. They're all nice. No one was rude. That service wasn't bad, just isn't a good...

Someone I was with wanted to go to marcel and I wanted to treat them for their birthday but sadly couldnt get a reservation. I heard of this place and then thought this looks worth a try. Went on a tuesday. This is probably the highest rated review ill ever give that hurt my soul. The atmosphere and service are great. The person I was with ordered a drink that she didnt know would be bitter and the server did his best to adjust the drink which did help some but I knew she still didnt like it as much however who could have known that wouldnt have been sweet so no fault there just unfortunate. The food is good I can't complain much about that, the frites wear cooked more than I wanted as I wanted what they looked like in the pictures. Its just that I thought for 49.99 each person would have at least that amount of steak, not necessarily 2 frite trays, but one tray of steak per person. To my dismay 1 was for all. The steak slices were also pretty small. I sat there starving as the person I was with ate. The two pieces I had were delicious but at least do yourself a favor and know that is what you get for two people everything in the photo only. Then you will enjoy yourself and know what to expect. Only reason I couldnt give five stars smh.Its a nice place with great service but I was so shocked since I didnt know, wish they would have explained that better...
