Whenever I travel, I like to check out a local record store or two, and during my visit to Atlanta, Crates ATL was just a mile walk from my hotel—perfect for some solo exploring while my wife was in a meeting. I will say, I was hoping the shop would lead into a more walkable shopping area, but it’s pretty isolated. Still, if you’re a soul enthusiast or a dedicated crate digger, Crates ATL is worth a stop.

Every record was in excellent condition, thoughtfully categorized, and easy to browse. You can tell they really care about curation and presentation. The selection is fantastic, with a great mix of genres and rare finds—all at very fair prices. Add to that a top-tier sound system playing chill music at just the right volume, and you’ve got an environment that’s both inspiring and relaxing. If you love vinyl, good vibes, and good people, Crates ATL is a must-visit.
