I went here for a concert, and I had no issue with the venue. It's concert hall is quite small. There's two floors. I didn't see any seats. Bathrooms are in the back to the right of the stage. I had come early to the event, and I had needed to go to the bathroom, so I used the bar right across from the concert hall entrance. Had to get patted down... security said I had to buy something to get inside. I went in, and I got lucky with a cool lady who didn't mind me. I won't hold it against them, because I feel it could be an issue with such a large crowd waiting for the doors to open.
Parking is very good here. If you're there concert night, you go in for free :). You can find it on MLK Street. MLK is a one way. The parking garage will be on your right, and the entrance is quite small, so slow down :).
I forgot what level I was on to enter the masquerade in the parking garage, but it'll be a cross walk from parking garage to masquerade. The concert hall will be on the ground floor of the venue. I believe there are other businesses to check out here, but I only went there for the live music.
Be there early to get a good spot in line before doors open. I got there at least an hour early, but I still found a good place to stand on the second floor in the corner by a pillar. Leaving the venue late at night can be tricky too if you're new to the area, so be careful please!
Be there maybe 1.5 hours early before doors open to get good parking in the garage. I got there somewhere near that time and had no issues finding one.
Staff give you a stamp on your hand before the doors open. They just check it when you enter later. You'll get asked if you'll drink before entering the masquerade, and if I remember correctly they give you a bracelet, or maybe it was a ticket. At this point I don't remember, because I...
Read moreThe venue is okay but there are some important things to be aware of.
"Kenny's Alley," the alley the different heaven / hell / purgatory and drinking establishments share is completely closed off from the rest of Atlanta via alley security, and once you go in, if you leave you're lucky if security will let you back in, even if you're willing to go through the check and body scan to get back in. It seems perfectly reasonable to me to let someone out if they're willing to go through the metal detector and check when they return.
But the biggest inconvenience is the lack of restrooms. Got there a couple of hours early for a show after being on the road all day, asked staff where the restroom was and was told by an incredibly un-interested staff member that there were no restrooms available until the doors to the concert venues open. Was told this was the case for the entirety of Kenny's alley. Had to get permission from security to leave and find a restroom somewhere else in Atlanta and to be able to come back in. It felt like they wanted you to stay trapped inside without a restroom hours before the venue doors open, so just be aware of this, you're best off parking in the garage and finding a restroom elsewhere if you arrive significantly early for your show.
The show I saw was in the "Heaven" venue, which was a bit cramped, I get that they didn't want to open the balcony because it required more management but there were plenty of staff standing around who could have monitored the situation.
Overall the show itself was great, just seemed overly controlled and like there was a lot of covid paranoia still ruling the atmosphere of what was allowed (it's 2025 for crying out loud). Saw Seven Kingdoms and Epica and the bands themselves put on an incredible performance with the...
Read moreIf you’re coming here to see Cravity please read. This is more for the people who have T3 & T4. Make sure to use the restroom and to be prepared to wait in line for 6 hours+ without water or bathroom breaks. This was my first time doing GA but from my understanding usually it is possible to leave the line, not this venue. The venue staff went around and told everyone in the line 20 minutes before the line started to move in order to get through the security check. My friends were helping another friend find the parking place when literally we were up next. We asked one staff lady if there was bathrooms inside and she said they were closed. She could’ve clarified that they would be open once we got inside. Once our friends got inside and could see if we could leave the venue and one lady was super rude saying thats why we were told to go before. Which I think is ridiculous for a 20 minute window that consisted of them just yelling down the line. I tried to explain our situation that we were GA and didn’t want to lose our spot and she said she didn’t care about that. Which is fair if we would’ve had more than 20 minutes. Which I honestly might be giving them more than what it actually was. At the end of the day the staff didn’t seem to know what I was going on. I understand it’s a security thing but they could’ve done a better job at communicating how it was going to work and some of them didn’t even seem know what they’re were doing. They could’ve at least sold water. (And no they were letting outside drinks in) Some girl literally pass out after 3 songs into the show. I will not be returning to this venue unless the artist is too good to pass up. But 10/10 I do not...
