Miss D's Pralines — Local services in Atlanta

I was fortunate enough to visit Miss D's during a food tour with Atlanta Food Walks when I was visiting Atlanta for the Beyonce and Jay Z OTRII tour.

This was the last stop on the tour and we were all blessed with the opportunity to meet Miss D herself. Her testimony is a powerful one and I felt myself swelling with pride at her much deserved success like she was a family member or old friend.

Her triple popcorn made us all say "Garrett's who?" She takes the traditional Chicago mix but puts her own spin on it by coating each kernel with all three flavors. Ah-may-zing! Her world renowned pralines are melt-in-your-mouth spectacular. I went home raving about my experience there.

About a week and a half later I found myself back in Atlanta, but this time for a less joyous occasion, as we were there for a funeral. I had told my mother about our previous visit, and she had to come see the place for herself. I was thrilled to see Miss D was there and available to speak to my mother. She hugged us like old friends. I bought my mom the triple popcorn and a praline. She loved it so much that we had to swing back by when we were leaving Atlanta to purchase more. Went to get popcorn from Wayfield on Headland..entire stand gone..Google Miss D.. called the number on website twice because no one answered and voicemail not setup..red flag for a business..but before I could leave Wayfield parking lot phone rang.. explained to lady that I was at Wayfield and what happened to the popcorn..she stated they had a two week wait time for popcorn stands for the stores ok fine..it was too late for me to make it to curb market at Grady because they close at 6pm but she told me about another location at Chapel Hill which closes at 7pm too late to attempt that drive due to rush hour traffic but she did tell me that location at curb market opens at 9am even though website states 8am.. so got up an hour early to get there at 9am before being at work at 10am..gets to location and no one is there even sat and waited til 20mins and still no one showed..get some business about yourself Miss D and change the time on your website..simple..we as a people need...

HANDS DOWN....... THEE BEST POPCORN!!!!

I have had every popular popcorn company that you can think of..... big names like Garretts and The Popcorn Factory and NONE compare to Miss D's. Her Triple (Caramel, Cheese, Butter) is so good IT'S SINFUL Each and every curnel is packed with flavor. The mixture is so beautifully done that no one flavor over powers the other. The harmonious blend is as delicious the first bite as it is the last. I always get a couple tubs when I go to the Atlanta United/Falcons games (my fav is the kiosk at 104) and they are ALWAYS fresh and she has a wide variety. Her popcorn is a must each and everytime I step into that stadium because I know how delicious it'll be. Yesterday i purchased 3 tubs of Triple and 1 Strawberry Cream Cheese (don't judge me). I mixed one of each flavor and happily dove in..... Another fab blend is the Triple reg and Triple Kettle Corn..... I guarantee you will not be...
