My experience was horrible. I was made to feel so uncomfortable and unwanted. I arrived at 6:10pm, 20 minutes early for my appointment at 6:30. The salon closes at 7. I was looked at, but not greeted by any of the 3 employees for the first couple minutes until after I sat down. I waited 20 minutes while I watched my selected barber/stylist, Karen, have a full conversation with the gentleman in her chair. Laughing, making jokes, and engaging with him. When she walked to the front to check him out, she literally frowned at me when I looked up at her. After asking me if I was ready and generically telling me to put my belongings in a box on her counter, I thanked her for taking my appointment and she responded “yea you’re the one that did this to me,” referencing me being the last appointment. She then proceeded to work IN SILENCE and did my entire haircut, straight neck shave, and hot towel in exactly 14 minutes. It was extremely uncomfortable, rushed, and unpleasant. She took me up front and said, “are you leaving me a tip?” I left her $8 after being put on the spot, but I will absolutely not return. I have never been made to feel so cheap and unwanted, and my uneven and half-done haircut left a lot to be desired. I’m going elsewhere tomorrow in hopes that I can find someone to correct and finish what she didn’t complete. I was so embarrassed and humiliated, I wouldn’t feel comfortable ever walking in again for fear of her disrespect and retaliation. Really disappointing...
Read moreDo NOT go here if you have slightly complicated hair. This place is just an overpriced Great Clips, and here's why. They have amounted positive reviews ONLY because they're nice and they specialize in cutting easy hair. But there is a critical lack of actual skill for anything outside of easy hair. There's a review from 2 months ago that said the same thing, they can NOT do fades. I showed multiple reference pictures told them exactly what I wanted went back and forth telling them what to fix, just for both of us to give up on each other. What's crazy, I had this happen as my first time here and I even booked my appt with the manager, then I walked out incredibly disappointed and frustrated. I decided to give them another chance today, and the same exact thing happened. They just messed up my hair again and now I have to go out of my way and find an actual barber who can fix this and make my fade not jagged, and actually even.
It was even more annoying when the lady cutting my hair this time told me to book a "shampoo" for next time, since she couldn't figure my hair out fast enough and thinks I should pay extra for their lack of skill.
If your haircuts START at $40, get actual barbers that or worth that, or match your prices with...
Read moreI was in the ATL for work and needed a haircut. I dragged my feet back home because I have been busy and went from having a nice haircut to feeling like a mop. Since I was in dire need of fixing the situation on top of my head I did a little bit of googling and this place was near my hotel and had great reviews here on google. I chose first available for Monday morning and got paired up with Howie. He's such a nice guy, had a meticulous station, and the shop was well put together. I had a great experience and would say I will be back, but I am not going to fly for four hours to get my hair cut again... It had been about two months since my last haircut. Like I said, I've been busy. I told Howie I wanted a 3 fade and for the rest more or less, Jesus take the wheel. He almost exactly came up with the same hair cut I get back at home, which means I am either unoriginal or that is the right haircut for my face. Either way, I am more than satisfied with the end result. I hope you have as great, if not a better,...
