Make reservations on the weekends it gets packed. Really nice seating/plentiful. Exceptional restrooms and great service. Food speed is good. The small plate items, you have to order three of to get full. Ordering three is just like ordering one entrĂ©e but if you order one main entrĂ©e, you will probably want to order a small with it. Add a drink and indeed youâre at $80 with tip and taxes per person. You can be around $50 per person so please expect that. Free 2hr parking.
Old-fashioned: very strong/good.
A lot of veggie items that I would have gotten had dairy in them and if taken out would affect the dish. Consider making veggie items without dairy.
The mushroom croquetas; 7.9/10 look larger in picture, but they are small. Quality ingredients can make this $9 dish fair priced but it felt $7 worth. Itâs creamy inside and I would prefer to taste mushroom chunks instead of cream of mushroom sauce.
Shrimp/Gambas; 10/10. The first try, but the second try it wasnât The same. It was savory at first and second try it was watery lemon butter. The sauce in this dish was the most tasty items of all we ate. Perfect, unique and flavorful. We put this sauce from the shrimp dish on everything we had during our first visit but didnât like it the second visit. See photo difference of the sauce.
Potatoes- 8.5/10 the perfect crispy with good texture. The white sour cream like aĂŻoli I didnât taste much from and it could use a better seasoning with a dipping sauce. Maybe the aĂŻoli can be amped up with more garlic and oil.
Brussels- 10/10 loved the taste, it has pork, vegetarians would remove that.
Wings- 8.8/10. I appreciate wings on the menu. Some days you just want a few wings. Nice wing sauce choice. If the wings would have been smoked or slow cooked better.
Steak & Chorizo- 8.5/10 Itâs steak and pork and I wish it was all steak. The steak had a bit of a chew and so did the chorizo. Nice chimichurri sauce. Steak was medium-well which leads me to believe it could have been not marinated long or not tenderized. These are great meats to have on the menu, I just wish they were an âeither orâ option- if I donât eat pork, then there would have been only a few steak pieces. The flavors were fair.
Crab toast- 8.5/10 fresh crab, nice taste. Itâs on the light side so youâll need more food.
Lamb Skewers 8.8; good value in that itâs filling. Good lamb taste but a bit chewy. Maybe switch to a more tender lamb or slice it in a way thatâs easier to chew. A good menu item, I added the sauce from the shrimp to it and it elevated it. Maybe this dish should be served with a thin sauce like the shrimp sauce.
Paella veggie-looks beautiful in the display pan but itâs not a deep dish so itâs not as much rice as it appears. The rice was crunchy like Farro or another kind of grain. It must have been a different kind of rice than what I was expecting. No seasoning in it. Love the atmosphere here, but my second experience wasnât as rave as the first so again I can see why you may feel this place is four star specifically due to their menu options
CrĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e- 7/10 looked & tasted appropriate, but did not come out hot. An easy dessert that I never cared for. Itâs just cream with a torched top.
Chocolate cheesecake- 2/10. formed like a cake slice but is as soft as moose. Too Cocoa forward. Not for me, a traditional chocolate cake slice with several layers and a good icing will work better.
Orange olive oil cake 10/10. loved this cake. Itâs like a soft and light pound cake. Itâs not so sweet like a pound cake but it has the essence of it and the flavors are perfect/light & just enough. Having more traditional desserts like this is my speed.
The manager Omar is on point. The tapas idea is great-eat here and eat somewhere else. They have entrée items.
We plan to come back to try the items we didnât try this time. I can see why someone may give this place a four star. Being that they are new, a few tweaks Can easily upgrade any short falls...
Read moreBoqueria lacks nothing. We made plans to dine-in during lunch, and while it was busy with the lunchtime rush, we had an amazing experience. We started with some cocktails, a Paloma and an Old Fashioned, and they were both really good just enough for a relaxing afternoon, but not too much that we would want to crash on the couch afterwards. Not to mention, the Old Fashioned had a small charcuterie bite that was a great start to an incredible meal. We simply ordered an array of tapas starting with the Croquettes, which are these pillowy soft cheese bites with ham that has a sweet sauce underneath that was to die for. And then we also had an order of Shishito peppers which were sprinkled lightly with sea salt. They were good by themselves, but even more delicious when added to the potato dish, Potatas Bravas, which has a tasty smoky red sauce that makes using ketchup laughable. Perhaps the highlight of this round were the Brussels sprouts that were tangy from the vinaigrette and perfectly balanced with a hint of sweet from the golden raisins and cranberries. I could eat this all day. The Brussels were perfectly cooked, tender, and simply delicious. The steak skewers were incredible. The highlight of that dish was the chimichurri at the bottom of the plate. I literally put the chimichurri sauce on other dishes because it was just that amazing. The only thing I did not like was the sausage on the skewer. It wasnât that it tasted badâit was goodâbut the casing on the sausage made it a little tougher to chew, so it contrasted from the moist, delicate texture of the steak and became a slight distraction. The Atlanta-based chicken wing dish was superb. The perfect balance of sweet and smoky all on a crispy wing was perhaps the best wing I have had in the city of Atlantaâand Atlanta has a lot of wing spots. And finally, we tried the Seared Octopus, and when I tell you, I am not a fan of green olives, I mean it. However, the olives created the perfect symphony of flavors when paired with the slightly chard octopus on a bed of potatoes. It offered a brininess and saltiness that Iâve never experienced, and made this dish one of the afternoonâs highlights. We went with the chocolate cheesecake for dessert, and I absolutely loved the bittersweet dark chocolate covering the cheesecake with the decadent filling. I literally had to force myself to put my spoon down because I was really full by then. In all, the service was amazing. Our server knew exactly what to recommend and was knowledgeable of the menu as well as really personable. So, it was like dining with an expert at our table. And there were some other friendly faces who came to discuss the dishes as they were dropped off, or who came to collect our empty dishes and offered us a smile. Full circle friendliness at this establishment! The ambience is very classy/sexy and dimly lit, which makes it a really good date night spot. I must advise you all to make sure that, if you park in the garage, to follow signs for the eatery because I was literally lost in there for about 10 minutes as I ran into a lot of employee elevators as well as Colony Square workers who could not tell me how to get to the main road from where I was. Also, please be warned that parking in the garage is $6 per 30 minutes, and unless you take your ticket from the garage into the establishment, you may have to pay $30 to park. I learned the lesson so you wouldnât have to. (Youâre welcome!) Yes Iâm coming back, and Iâm coming back very...

Okayyy, story time of Baroqueria colony square: My friends & I made a reservation to check out this trendy spot. It was a Thursday night; not too busy. We checked in for our reservation ON TIME, & waited 15min to be seated. The atmosphere was nice, decor was nice, & our server was kind. I would agree w/how overpriced the food & drinks available are images included. If price isnât an issue, value thisââthe tapas are minimal, 2 of our tapa dishes we ordered never came out, & on top of that the tapas were cold. My friends & I were overwhelmed w/ everything wrong going on while trying to make it an enjoyable time for ourselves. Our server didnât check back on us until another long 20-25minutes when waiting to pay our bill. The server didnât inform us of the payment options; NO cash, you must scan the barcode on the cube thatâs placed on your table to payââour cube was never placed/ missing. Again the server was kind, & she fixed that for us. I thought it was a bit silly to pay an extra feeâto use the websiteâto pay the bill. To REALLY top off the night⊠Before we left, they gave us the promising 2hr parking validation cardâ-the machine did NOT accept the cardâŠ.& we paid the $30 for parking at colony square ofc ._. This may be an issue towards the Colony Square parking business alone; however I know thereâs a better way to validate parkingâŠFor example, at Jojoâs Beloved Cocktail Lounge (same parking deck at colony square parking), they SCAN your parking pass to validate it ANDD it works .
