We had the pleasure of staying at the Epicurean Atlanta during the PGA Tour Championship, and it was truly one of the best decisions we made for our VIP clients. Our event is one of the most high profiles events of the year, with complex logistics and last-minute changes, but the Epicurean team handled everything with ease and professionalism.||||Adam Brown, their event manager, deserves special recognition. I’ve worked in the event industry for over 20 years, and Adam stands out as one of the best managers I’ve encountered. Our event is notorious for sudden room changes and last-minute VIP requests, yet Adam managed everything seamlessly. His clear communication and calm demeanor ensured everything ran smoothly, and he consistently went above and beyond to keep us on track with reminders about deadlines and managing our VIP amenities. It’s rare to find someone who can handle such high-pressure situations with grace, but Adam exceeded all our expectations.||||Shawna Ash was also fantastic in managing our Friday evening reception. We had a reception booked with a late increase in guests, doubling from 40 to 100, and Shawna handled the shift with expert precision recommending alternate options and quickly putting our mind at ease. "The Office" was the perfect venue—elegant yet relaxed, beautifully designed allowing our guests to unwind after a long day at the tournament. The proximity to the guest rooms made it easy for attendees to freshen up and head straight to the reception, which was both convenient and comfortable. ||||The Epicurean property itself is stunning. From the moment you step inside, the attention to detail is evident. The hotel’s design combines modern luxury with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Every area, from the stylish foliage along the walkways to the chic pool bar, to the soft yet rugged touches feels thoughtfully crafted. The rooms are equally impressive, and the culinary theme that runs throughout the hotel adds a unique touch that makes the Epicurean stand out from other venues.||||One of the standout features of the Epicurean Atlanta is its walkability and safety. The hotel is situated in a vibrant, accessible area where everything is within a short, pleasant walk. Guests can easily explore local dining, entertainment, and shopping options without the need for a car, which greatly enhances the convenience of the stay. Additionally, the property’s commitment to guest safety is evident. The well-lit pathways and secure entry points ensure a sense of security at all hours, making it an ideal choice for both business travelers and leisure guests. This thoughtful attention to the safety and ease of movement within and around the hotel contributed significantly to our overall satisfaction.||||The food and beverage experience was exceptional. The reception menu was beautifully curated, and the cocktail options were unique and flavorful. One evening, when our team was too exhausted to make it to a dinner reservation, Brian, the sommelier, went above and beyond to help us pick the perfect wine and personally delivered it to our meeting room with glasses and an ice bucket. These little touches are what elevate the Epicurean experience from great to outstanding.||||What truly made this stay unforgettable was not just the quality of the accommodations or the elegance of the venue, but the people. The genuine care, attention, and adaptability of the Epicurean staff turned what could have been a logistical headache into an effortless, enjoyable experience. In a world where hospitality can sometimes feel transactional, the team at Epicurean Atlanta made it personal. They didn’t just meet our needs—they anticipated them, making sure that both our team and our VIP clients felt not just well-served, but truly valued.||||It’s rare to find a property where everything aligns so perfectly—the beauty of the space, the quality of the service, the warmth of the staff, and the safety and convenience of the location. Read moreWe booked our stay at the Epicurean because of the great reviews and promise of great food, specifically the Reverence. This was the destination for our wedding night, and the hope of having a nice hotel and meal at the same location was what pushed us to book.
Unfortunately, this was nothing like the wedding night we had been hoping for. Checking in was nice. We relaxed until our dinner reservations. The Reverence was beyond awful. Once arriving for our reservation, we were greeted and escorted to our table. We sat at our table for 10 minutes without being greeted. It took a visit to the host stand and another 5 minute wait to be greeted. Our server was unknowledgeable about the menu and the manager ended up food running and answering questions for us. We were told the feature for the day was a ribeye, when ordered a ny strip was sent out. As it was our wedding night, we chose not to make a big deal and try to salvage the evening. Come to find out the feature, which was not as promised, was 114$. Very disappointing price for a subpar meal that the server couldn’t even describe correctly. Honestly, I was disappointed that the money we had saved for our wedding night date was spent as a restaurant with such poor service and food for such high prices. The protein and sauce choices were poorly paired for the “fame” associated with their menu. After eating, we retired for the evening. We were placed in an 11th floor room above the pool. The night of our stay a wedding reception was on the 10th floor in the event space and pool grounds. The music was so loud we couldn’t sleep and our room was rattling. Normally we can sleep through noise, but this literally caused the walls of our room to shake with how loud the base was. It took multiple calls to the front desk to find out that they did not know when the wedding was ending and they would not ask for the music to be lowered. After another call we were transferred to a top floor room. This room had not been prepared and took over an hour to cool to 72 degrees. The wedding was aware that these rooms can be negatively effected by the noise that comes from the event spaces below and still chose to put us in this room after learning it was our honeymoon. The room switch was met with little apology on behalf of the concierge, but it did result in tears of frustration as my new husband and I had to pack and move and couldn’t sleep. All in all, the Epicurean fell short of their promise of a great stay. From a subpar meal where the service made us feel as if we were not noticed by the restaurant to having to pack my bags and move rooms in the middle of my wedding night, the stay was horrible. I may understand if this had been a normal night, but it was a trip we had saved for and been looking forward to for months. A wedding night isn’t something that can be made up.
This review is primarily to say that
This night is not one we can get back, but I hope there are others who have not had such a horrible experience at the Epicurean. My husband and I both work in the service industry, and I think that was what made the poor quality of this stay even more disappointing. It is not difficult to give guests a good experience, but it should be easy to rectify a mistake once it has been made. The Epicurean...
