Atlanta | Buckhead Restaurant Week: Part Two

I've been to Divan before on a late night vibe, I didn't have dinner but had drinks and I was fond of the decor. It was located in Buckhead at the time and had two floors, they had these private rooms that intrigued me, I always thought it would be cool to have a private dinner in one of them. Fast forward they have a new location in midtown (old location burned down) and I finally got to dine in! This location is huge, they have five floors I believe both indoor and outdoor seating. It has a similar decor to the first location, still has private rooms but they have patios also. The space looks really nice, it is like a tiny country club with multiple bars and tons of seats, a lounge, they serve hookah, it is really a one stop shop for everything you would look for in an establishment which is incredibly impressive. Service was phenomenal, the manager Andrew was really attentive and made sure our table was taken care of, he even took about five minutes to explain to us what happened to the old location and what the difference was at the new location. Between ordering meals, refilling waters, and making suggestions the staff at Divan was amazing. The food was good, I'm a huge fan of Mediterranean cuisine so I was looking forward to all the dishes they had to offer. The only knock I have about the food is that the meats were a little dry, ground beef, lamb, and chicken unfortunately, the sauce that came with each respective dish balanced it out but I think there is room for improvement. My favorite dish was the turkey and pistachio dufta meatballs, I had it as an appetizer. It had tons of flavor, it was so delicious. The entire experience at Divan was amazing. I willl definitely be back again, it is a great place for a date or even an outing amongst a big group of friends. Like I said before it has everything you need in one place!

I recently visited Divan Restaurant and Bar, and I had quite an intriguing dining experience. To start with the oysters, I have to say they were a bit of a letdown for me. I would rate them a 5 out of 10; they were prepared differently than what I'm used to, and unfortunately, they just didn't match my personal taste. On a much more positive note, the curry prawns were an absolute highlight and earn a perfect 10 out of 10! They were bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked, making them a dish I would highly recommend to anyone visiting. Now, let’s talk about the filet mignon. I can confidently say this was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had, deserving a stellar 100 out of 10! The way it was prepared was simply incredible, and it's definitely landed a spot in my top 10 favorite steaks of all time. I still can't get over how fantastic it was! For dessert, we ordered the baklava cheesecake. While it was good, I would rate it a 5 out of 10. My only disappointment was that we had initially asked for pomegranate cheesecake, so I believe our expectations were set for something a bit different. Overall, Divan Restaurant and Bar offers some truly outstanding dishes that are worth trying, especially the curry prawns and filet mignon. Although the oysters and dessert didn't quite hit the mark for me, I would still recommend this restaurant for its standout entrees. I’m looking forward to returning and exploring more of their menu!

Okay so literally stumbled on this place leaving The High Museum!!! And can I just say this place got everything right !!! The ambiance was perfect! Staff was amazing - literally from the greeter at check-in to our host Zendaya’s twin Shania and to top it off the GM Anthony!!! Everyone was very knowledgeable about all the products and recommendations were A1!!! We started off with an appetizer: Crab Risotto Croquettes … I give those a 3.5/5. But stay with me… Anthony and Zendaya gave us recommendations for food. My friend ordered the Lobster Ravioli with scallops 10/10!!! Sooo good she broke out into a dance !!! I ordered the Blackened Verlasso Salmon 10/10!!! Seasoned just right not too soupy but just right amount of noodle / sauce / meat portion !!! Seasoned 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 let me let you know I could’ve licked the bowl if I was at home but I have home training. But wait it gets better - the drinks were amazing !!! Anthony made us some pretty blue drink just because it was Friday and we were celebrating just that lol 🥂. It was 10/10 - pretty and tasted amazing . My friend ordered the martini and I had the Parisian sangria which was 10/10! So basically like this is on my map of places I’ll most definitely keep coming back to when in Midtown. Because what - amazing food, amazing service and amazing vibes !!! So glad we stumbled on this location 🙌🏽🥂💛 *excuse any typos 💛

Divan offers a chic, modern take on Persian and Mediterranean cuisine. The atmosphere is upscale and inviting, with elegant lighting and stylish decor, making it a great setting for a night out. However, while the ambiance is refined, the food leans more toward contemporary reinventions rather than the rich, traditional flavors of Persian cuisine—without the value to justify the price. The naan bread was disappointing—thin, slightly dry, and topped with sesame seeds, lacking the soft, pillowy texture of authentic pita bread. The hummus was subpar, missing the depth and creaminess expected from a well-executed dish. On the positive side, the goat cheese with honey was a standout—creamy, tangy, and perfectly balanced with sweetness. The absolute star of the meal was the lamb chops. Cooked to perfection, they were rich, tender, and full of flavor—easily the best dish of the night. That said, the value just wasn’t there. The portion sizes, combined with the high prices, made it hard to justify, especially when there are better, more traditional Persian restaurants in Atlanta offering superior flavors at a more reasonable cost. Would I return? For the lamb chops, maybe. But for a truly authentic Persian dining experience at a better price, I’d look elsewhere.

We came in for dinner & really enjoyed our dining experience. This is our first time at the new location, we always frequented the previous location. Atmosphere was nice & so was the decor. We ordered various items: falafel (they were okay, my family enjoyed them more than me); hummus duo w/ tabouleh (the black bean hummus & traditional hummus were delicious! The servings were kind of small & the tabouleh was okay); 6 spice potatoes (they were good); lamb chops (fantastic as always & the reason I come to Divan - it's the only thing I've ever ordered); blackened verlasso salmon (family member said it was good & really enjoyed it); lamb shank (family member said it was good & really enjoyed it); & spice blend shish kabob (family member said it was good & really enjoyed it). Our server was Shama & she was very nice, a little talkative but still very sweet, & helpful. The only thing I didn't like is when it came time for the check to be paid the waitress stands over your shoulder. I always tip well, & don't need suggestions on how to tip, so that was a little annoying. Overall, I'll be back because the food is as wonderful as the service! Our interaction with staff, from the moment we entered the door until we left, was top notch. Parking is valet for $10.
