2nd Update- Fried cauliflower with sweet potato purée 10/10. Loved it. Great Holiday Dish. Exceptional warm taste. Chimichurri Steak is a small portion for the price-more steak please- Delicious tho. Their Appetizer list could be improved! I can see why some give a 4 star even though the restaurant is beautiful and the service is excellent. Don’t like the Shishito Peppers. Not tasty. 2/10. The sauce helps it but salt & pepper does not Eggplant Entree-Great job. It can be hard to make taste good and you did it. A bit tangy in parts, but all the flavors, correct texture, presentation. It was perfect. 10/10. Wanted more, scraped the plate. I always laugh when the veggie dish cost more than the burger but trust me I get it. Servers and service is always excellent here. Banana Bread Pudding-expected more of a wow taste 8/10. First off-it’s like $16-mannn drop it to $11 with optional ice cream for $3 lol. By itself, it didn’t taste all that but with the caramel sauce, it taste pretty good. The candied pecans felt like an afterthought on the side, I’d prefer the pecans inside of the pudding. The bananas were worked but the work didn’t transfer. I eat bread pudding at a few restaurants nearby me and they are delicious and only cost me about $4 so since I have a high standard for bread pudding along with exceptional value, I wouldn’t order this again, no offense. I felt I had to say that because you do such a great job. Update- came on Sunday for brunch. Dress nice Sundays. Excellent food, quality and service. This place really gets packed on Sundays. Violinist was amazing, wish he was louder, but I know some people don’t want that much noise, but I liked it. I ordered the short rib, thought it was coming on the bone, but it was pulled. Still delicious, but not what I was expecting. Their Dutch baby with the lemon is delicious and also the mixed berry. This Dutch baby item was unique, fluffy, with crispy edges. This Dutch baby item is in a few dishes like the fried chicken dish so we ended up having it twice. The fried chicken dish only had a little bit of collard greens, which was disappointing as we wanted it much more than the little bit given. They were somewhat fried greens- I was expecting more southern collard greens in a side dish. Crispy potatoes were heavenly, and the biscuit was homemade fresh with a unique jam that taste homemade. Good speed/fair prices for location. There wasn’t much on the brunch menu that we would order but the things that we did order , so I wish they had a more elaborate menu with vegan options. I know a smaller menu makes for quality food and good speed from the kitchen, but if I came back, I’d probably order the short rib options again (even though I haven’t been eating meat, dairy or eggs lately- their menu is this American diet), which wouldn’t be as exciting the second time around. Server Brandon is great.
Quality food. Burgers taste amazing. Handmade pickles. Large portion Fries. Little expensive. Kinda hard to find, parking can be odd on Atl streets. The meatballs are really good over Palenta. They kinda have a ground Turkey chew as opposed to hamburger chew. I like the hamburger chew a bit better but this was really fresh. It had nuts on it which u can see someone not liking that but it was good. Everything about the place is fancy. Outside & inside, even the restrooms. Drinks strong and unique. Salads looked big. Not a super elaborate menu. they may have brunch on Sunday’s. Maybe add a few more affordable eats to the menu. I’d come back. I’m definitely keeping this place on the list and refer friends. The atmosphere is the perfect blend of work and play and is located in the heart of Colony Square in Midtown Atlanta. Outside there is an airy patio featuring a fireplace and greenery. I recommend Saints and Council for an elevated date night, weekend with friends or after-work socializing. What I tried at Saints and Council:
The bubbly was Faire La Fête Brut from Limoux, France. Then I tried four signature cocktails. My favorite was the Saints of Summer which had a strawberry shrug.
I tried three shared plates. I went with the Local Burrata for my first shared plate which had burrata, asparagus ribbons tossed in white balsamic, basil oil, chili oil, and grilled crostini. Then I tried the chilled seafood platter featuring stone crab, ten jumbo shrimp, mussels, stone ground mustard, and cocktail sauce. Next, I had crispy pepper jelly glazed belly with braised collards, jalapeno cheddar polenta cake, pepper jelly, and glazed pork belly
Afterward, it was time for entrees and I tried three. I tried the North Georgia Trout a grilled trout with pepper beurre blanc, and arugula with warm bacon vinaigrette. Then it was time for Chimichurri Lamb Chops which were grilled lamb lollipops, mint chimichurri, green mini garbanzo, potatoes, cilantro mint yogurt, blistered grape tomatoes, and feta. I wrapped up with the Berkshire pork Tomahawk with fennel honey sauerkraut, peach mostarda, and haricot verts.
The sweet ending was dessert! I had the Cast Iron Strawberry Shortcake which was a sweet biscuit in a cast-iron skillet, strawberry jam, macerated strawberries, and vanilla ice cream. I also had Peanut Butter Pie a peanut brittle crust with creamy peanut butter mousse filling served with peanut butter-infused whipped cream and peanut butter...
Read moreSlightly hard to locate off of Peachtree however once located you're going to want to park in valet or the parking garage which is located directly in front of the busy Shopping area and resteraunt..Valet was around $25. Once parked & you make it to the resteraunt, as you approach the restaurant the outside Ambience is just as beautiful as the inside ambiance. We were seated in a very timely manner. We had a reservation and were basically seated immediately.
Our waiter was pretty quick it almost seemed as if he may have been rushing our service a bit, as soon as we sat down he asked us for our drinks and appetizers. We asked for a little bit longer to look over the menu he came back maybe 3 or 5 minutes later. We gave him our appetizer order and we were eating our appetizer and he came and asked three times, are we ready for our entrees.
Appetizers were crab dip which was extremely delicious that came out with these triangle shapes pieces of pita bread that were toasted with butter, delicious. We also had oysters that were extremely flavorful and yummy would definitely recommend.
We finally ordered our entrees after the 3rd ask, the entrees came out extremely fast. Which is a good thing. The appetizer was pretty quick as well and it was very busy on a Friday night.
The food came out exceptionally delicious very tender oven roasted chicken with risotto on the side and a side of mashed potatoes. Our other guests had the Burger on the menu with the fritas which were very tasty and delicious and the other guests had the tomahawk pork chop which was bourbon flavored, & was cooked well done, with roasted potatoes and was very flavorful with all of its a beautiful dressing and garnishes.
The chicken was extremely flavorful and it had a mushroom gravy on top of it. The burger did not require any extra condiments it was so juicy and flavorful with the cheese and onions and all of the fixings there was nothing additional needed.
I had a ginger ale, the other guest had a sweet tea and the other guest had a strawberry lemon drop and a ginger ale there were no complaints on the drinks.
We were there probably a total of an hour and a half and would...
