It was ny first time at this locale. This was my daughter's graduate graduation. We were pleased with the ambassadors showing us to our seats. Hiwever, we were very very upset that their were no programs given for the 3PM graduation!! My daughter's class was smaller" compared to Ga State 10am program who guests received programs. This was a total disservice to family and friends iof the graduate commencement exercise @ 3pm. We have no written history to document our children's, spouses etc. graduate experience . WHY WOULD A UNIVERSITY as Large as GA State University short change its student's who have paid for their education? As well as countless hours spent finishing requirements for their individual programs. To be denied something so significant to their connencement as a program to docunent completion of a milestone is a disgrace!! Family and Friends that traveled from.distances to share in the GRADUATE EXPERIENCE of their loved one. The least that GA STATE UNIVERSITY could have done was taken time to PRINT PROGRAMS for the GRADUATE Graduating CLASS of 2019 December 17th @ 3PM... This was a SMALLER CLASS than the 10PM graduate commencement class who family and friends received them. WHAT A DIS GRACE and DISSERVICE GA STATE to be DENIED sonethibg that only took 1 hour or less to print . NO EXCUSES ARE ACCEPTABLE for this OFFENSE GA STATE UNIVERSITY to the parents, friends of the GRADUATE Graduating CLASS of 2019 , December 17th @ 3PM. HOW DOES GA STATE. CORRECT THIS DISSERVICE ? PRINT and. SEND PROGRAMS to each GRADUATE of Dec 17th , 3PM Graduate Commencement Simply, print a program and mail one wirh each students degree . PROBLEM SOLVED.( knowing that some. family and friends still want get one). PlEASE don't allow tthis disservice to another graduating class. Mrs....
Read moreGSU has done so much for the revitalization of Downtown and this enormous renovation started it all. I believe the Rialto had always been a movie theater, but the acoustic changes and the attention to detail has made it into a true world-class facility perfect for the talent of the GSU School of Music. The lobby usually has great art work (that seems to change pretty regularly) and is open yet welcoming. The classic entrance and the large electric sign outside pay homage to the original look of the theater. The location is ideal and parking is easy, close, and affordable (for Downtown). You can easily park, see a concert, and enjoy the area before or after. The theater itself is intimate, but larger than I expected the first time I visited. The ceilings are extremely high which I am sure play a part in the great sound. Seats are comfy and the positioning of seats allows all areas to have a great view. You can rent the center and several events have been held here recently that received quite a bit of positive press for the building. It really is just a beautiful, perfect spot to enjoy great music! Fun Fact: the small side street across from the entrance is often called "Marvel Street" due to the constant filming of Marvel movies. If there's a Marvel movie being filmed, you can bet that little street...
Read moreI bought two tickets totaling more than $100 online to see Celtic Christmas in Atlanta but unfortunately I was distracted and purchased them for the wrong day. I called to see if they could exchange them since I was meeting friends. The manager said that is was against their policy to exchange tickets, but if I wanted too I could spend an additional $100 plus to buy two more tickets for the following night. I tried to explain that was a lot of money and I couldn't really afford to buy two more tickets. And the worst part is they still have a lot of open seats. I simply cannot believe that an arts theater won't exchange tickets to ensure the a broad audience gets to see their performances. But as the manager stated, it's only a privilege that they extend to season ticket holders. So if you can't afford to be season ticket holders, you are out of luck. They have lost two customers for life. There are other small but talented theater companies that don't have such rigid policies. Check out Serenbes. They have great performances that are accommodating to everyone. And the tickets are more...
