Outdoor Ice Skating Rink in Atlanta During Winter

Outdoor Ice Skating Rink in Atlanta During Winter

We recently visited the rooftop ice-skating rink at Ponce City Market in Atlanta, and while there were definitely some highlights, the overall experience left us feeling pretty disappointed. First, the good stuff—the view from the rooftop is amazing. Beyond the ice-skating, there are fun family activities like mini-golf and games, which add to the festive vibe. The ice-skating itself was a fun and unique experience, especially being up high with such a great backdrop. Now, onto the not-so-good part. We had a reservation and arrived on time, but they still made us stand in line for quite a while. By the time we made it up the elevator, got our skates on, and hit the ice, 15 minutes of our skating time had already passed. To make things worse, they didn’t let us make up the lost time, and we were actually asked to leave the ice early. What was supposed to be a full hour of skating turned into maybe 30 minutes at best. The staff was not accommodating at all, and it felt like they just didn’t care about the experience they were offering guests. To add to the frustration, the website didn’t mention anything about arriving early. They made it seem like you’d be able to walk right in at your reserved time, but clearly, that’s not how it works. Overall, while the rooftop and activities are cool, the lack of organization and customer service left a bad taste in our mouths. If you plan on going, arrive at least 20 minutes early, and manage your expectations about how much actual time you’ll get on the ice. It’s a fun idea, but the execution needs some serious improvement.

It was $300 for the igloo rental and dinner. (Not including alcohol) the dinner was okay there wasn’t anything wrong with it but it wasn’t anything special. Definitely not worth $100. The server was extremely nice and did a great job. However there was nothing to do. The igloo had nothing inside of it other than chairs and blankets and there was an ice skating rink but that was it. It was over priced for what you get honestly. Inside the building had some games like uno and Jenga, super boring. Also the ice skating rink is really small and not well maintained. The igloo smelled extremely strong like plastic as well like they didn’t let it air out. Just don’t waste your money.

First time taking my daughter here to ice skate, we paid for 3 adults to go up and a child i explained to the lady at entrance it was my first time so all she told me was that i had to pay for us and then my child to skate so then once we head to get my daughters skates were told she has to be accompanied by an adult i advised them we werent told that when we paid nd if i could receive a refund she advised yes after she got done talking on the walkie talkie about it she advised to head to the other side where the golf area was there would be a manager and i asked again if i would receive a refund she confirmed again yes once i get to the other side they have no idea whats going on so i explain again what happened and i explained if the 1st lady would have told me from the start i wouldnt have ever paid to go up since the only reason we would be going up top would be to let my daughter skate the manager then advises me they do not give refunds and all he might be able to do is give us a voucher for her to come back- at the end he gave us a 2 vouchers to bring her back a different day which i definitely do appreciate even though we spent al together $70 bucks just to go up for 2 seconds so we ended up waisting money when all of it could have been prevented by giving us the right information from the beginning before we paid! I honestly dont even wanna take her back with the vouchers we got after this being our 1st experience it left a bad taste in my mouth nd wouldnt really go back period ever again they definitely need to work on providing customers with correct information to avoid incidents like these cus ofcourse they dont care since its not there money! iam very understanding and patient of most situations but this definitely was poor customer service and they can do better , I dont tend to write reviews like these since but I figured to do so to save someone else from a...

A must for a family holiday outing! My family and I have a holiday tradition every year to go ice skating ⛸ every Christmas 🎄 season. We typically have to go to Ice Days (which is Ecellent) in Conyers for a decent skating experience. Living local to Atlanta we tried Skate the Sky and it Exceeded our expectations! VERY festivly decorated and kid friendly during the week as well as a kid at heart;-) . Having older kids (17-21) along with their girlfriends, we all had a blast with the ice skating (on the new rink) as well as fun playing games and putt-putt while waiting for our scheduled skate time! Word of advice, its very busy with limited capacity, I wish I would have scheduled online the day before however the staff was great and we purchased the last tickets available 😀 It is our new spot for our holiday ice skating tradition! Thanks Skate the Sky!...
