Clearly this business must have been inherted by the current owners. There is absolutely no way they would have lasted this long with the level of service they offer today! I took my watch to them for an estimate and was told that I had to leave it and that someone would call me later with an estimate. I did just that and was given a claim ticket. Some time passed and I decided to call, this is when I was advised that not only was my watch ready but it would cost $80.00!!! Not wanting to put up a fight, I paid the $80.00. My watch must have worked for about two weeks!!! Upon returning my watch, I was greeted by a nasty snob of a woman behind the counter who acted as though she'd been baptized in lemon juice. She went on to tell me that I (again) had to leave the watch and someone would call me once the repairman looked at it. Much like last time, some time passed and I decided to stop by. My watch was ready stated the monster behind the counter and it would cost $10.00. Again, I wasn't advised of the charge and/or service. Needless to say, today, less than a week my watch is no longer keeping time!!!! This has taught me the importance of reading...

I took a watch to Furman’s explaining that I just had it cleaned & it still didn’t work. They said they could fix it. The first time I picked it up, they charged me $175. I about passed out from the outrageous fee, but, if my watch was fixed, I was ok with it as it is an expensive dive watch. However, after wearing it for a day, I found that it was no different than when I took it to them. After 3 tries and over a YEAR later, my watch is still not fixed and I’m out $175. They refuse to refund any of my money, they refuse to respond to the BBB, and they refuse to act professionally. AND, not only did they rip me off for $175, I found out that the watch repairman doesn’t even know how a quartz watch works. He told me the problem was a balancing mechanism and he hadn’t seen one of those in years. Well guess what, that’s because a quartz watch DOES NOT HAVE a balancing mechanism. One would think that a professional watch repair person would know that. They are HORRIBLE and I would tell anyone NOT...
Read moreI read many negative reviews about this place and had several colleagues warn me that they were pretty expensive and had even "misplaced" a watch before. But since they are just a couple blocks from my office and all I needed was a battery changed in my Tissot I thought I'd give them a shot. The hours on their door say they open at 10:00am. So at 11:10am I decided to leave my office and walk down there. I was greeted by steel cages over their door and windows - they were closed - an hour past when they said they'd be open. I guess that's a sign that I shouldn't do business with them anyway. Based on what I've read and heard about this place, I'd avoid them like the plague. I'd give them Zero...
