I had heard good things about them. When my mom passed, she left me some jewelry. I had to have 2 rings sized and a bracelet repaired. I took them to Jared and I explained to the clerk that these items were of great sentimental value to me. She looked at the items, filled out the paperwork (which took FOREVER) and I had to pay in advance. My husband picked the items up and didn't check them before he came home. When I opened the boxes I started to cry. The first ring was a ruby and diamond ring with a gold band. I had it sized up. Jared sized it up but didn't leave it in a round shape. They made the band a horseshoe shape and what was even worse was that it wasn't even!!!! The second ring was a pinky ring and they sized it wrong. The bracelet was a hugs and kisses bracelet and one of the links was broken. Jared soldered the link back together and then soldered 4 more links causing the bracelet to be completely stiff. It should bend in one direction but not the other. It didn't bend at all and it was unwearable. So I took it all back. The clerk I dealt with started arguing with me about the misshaped ring. He kept asking me if it was round when I brought it in. And he said he didn't see anything wrong with the bracelet. After 20 minutes of discussing this with the guy, he agreed to have them all redone. I pointed out that Jared has a 100% satisfaction guarantee clause. I sat and waited while he filled out the paperwork which again took forever. After waiting a week, I went back to pick them up. The pinkie ring was sized correctly. The other ring they left horseshoe shaped and told me that was the best they could do (it was even this time) and the bracelet hadn't been touched because the repair person didn't see anything wrong with it. I proceeded to leave b/c I was fuming. I called to talk to the manager. Another trip to Jared. He refunded my money for the ring. He told me if they made it round they would have to add gold to it and charge me for it. I have no idea why. He couldn't explain it and couldn't explain to me why it was no longer round. We went over the bracelet again. He saw what I was talking about and spoke to the repair person to get it done right. It's better but still pretty stiff. So, I have a horseshoe shaped ring, a bracelet that doesn't lay right on my wrist and only a partial refund plus a giant waste of time. They checked the stones on the rings. Said they were fine. I wore my horseshoe shaped ring once and one of the rubies fell out. I was lucky I was at a friends house and it was at my feet. So out of 3 pieces of jewelry that have only value to me, they managed to screw up 2 pieces. I have to take them somewhere else to have them fixed right.
As a side note, when we were dealing with the 2nd clerk, we were standing at the repair station. Another employee was helping a customer clean his jewelry. He handed the customer back his jewelry and took the dirty towel, tossed it over my husbands head at his coworker and made a swoosh sound. These are the most unprofessional people I have ever encountered. Now they won't stop calling me about sales. I told them to take me off their list. The whole experience was so upsetting. I explained to them on several occasions, these pieces of jewelry were my mom's. They are irreplaceable. It's something they don't seem...
Read moreMy fiancé and I went into this location today after shopping Jared online. We saw the rings we liked and planned on making purchases today. That was before Michelle happened.
One should not assume that because someone does not have a diamond ring that it is because they can't afford one.
She asked us a few questions and then asked to see my engagement ring. When I gave it to her, she got a disgusted look on her face and said, "Is this a diamond??" To which my fiancé and I responded, "It's moissanite " I am very proud of my ring and love it to death!
Unfortunately through our research we have determined that enhancers do not come in moissanite so I've come to the realization that I'll have to settle for diamonds for my enhancer. I know that may sound silly to some people especially someone who is not educated on moissanite. Not only is it virtually as hard as a diamond (9.5 whereas a diamond is a 10) it is also more rare with better clarity and more brilliance. Mine is also colorless. Oh and the best part, they are ALWAYS conflict free. Did I mention they are half the price of a diamond?
Michelle didn't know any of this and actually told me that they would not be able to solder my ring to the band because it would melt, which is not true. She also did not know the correct information about sapphires or the actual hardness of a diamond. The last straw was when Michelle mentioned with more enthusiasm than our whole interaction that they had financing and layaway available for our financial needs. While that's all fine and dandy, why would she ASSUME we needed those options?
I've read quite a few reviews about Jared's regarding the low quality of the jewelry they sell but we will never know because based on Michelle's representation of the company and herself, we've decided to take our very important purchase elsewhere, specifically a lovely place in Cherry Creek that treated us with kindness, respect and dignity and gladly accepted our...
Read moreI will never shop here again! I dropped my ring off to have a diamond replaced back in August. A few days later my husband went to pick it up and found something else wrong with it. So they had to send it to Park Meadows. I went back on the pick up date to pick it up and they couldn't find it (wk and half later and no one called me to come pick it up) They couldn't figure out what store they shipped it to or where it was. We stood in the store for 2 hrs on a Sat. And they still couldn't find it. My husband who use to work for the company actually figured out where they shipped it, after we left the store. They shipped it to home office (Ohio) and had no idea why they would do this. So we had to wait for the ring to be shipped to Park Meadows for them to do the work then shipped back to aurora. Finally Oct 2nd I go to pick it up for them to tell me that it was over 650 dollars bc they couldn't find the paperwork. And they did more work than what we asked. They never gave us an estimate bc they said it would be taken care of. Until the day I picked it up! Then some guy behind the counter tells me "we actually gave you a discount" Needless to say...we had to pay for something we never asked to be done and that we never got a call for. And after talking to my husband and customer care we never got a discount! These people are lying theives. They make you feel safe about dropping off your diamonds then steal your money. This would not have been a big deal if 1. They didn't lose my ring (they had it for almost a month and a half) and 2. They would have told us a price before they sent it off and 3. Lied to me and told me it was covered! I do NOT recommend this place and I will never step foot in...
